View Full Version : more accurate paintball via banned golf balls?

i remember reading something about some tournament banned golf balls using a non symmetric dimple pattern on the shell to 'force' a specific orientation and spin on the ball, no matter how it initially set or was hit (aka, you couldn't hook or slice with these, they only went straight), IIRC, it was a band of dimples only on the equatorial region, and none on the poles. not sure if the current manufacturing process for paintballs could create something like this or not (2 step process, current method w/ fragile shell, then wrap ball in second skin with the dimples?), and if the liquid fill would cause any problems while the balls were in flight.

edit: hmm, maybe i should actually read the posts on the board already before making a new one.... damn i feel dumb. =p
