I'm looking for a good (not great, but good), reliable 4(+1?) or possibly a 6(+1) Horizontal pack... Anyone have any suggestions?

I will always recommend Unique packs to players (and no, I don't work for them). They are well made, very comfortable, and if you ever rip one, you can send it in and they will sew it up for you.
Also, personally, I recommend the vertical pod harnesses, because they don't stick out your sides (smaller profile).

I doubt they'll stick out much, if any at all on me, I'm not exactly what you'd call small. :D

I have a System X 3+2 pack. I think it's great, very comfy, hasn't ripped yet (knock on wood). System X packs come with waist extenders.

trey redz, rase, or extreme rage. I have one of each and all work great!

As you can see, there are many good packs. I use a Dye Attack Pack 3 verticle, it just depends on how much you want to spend, how comfortable the pack is on you, and what you want it to hold.

as slipknot said, redz 3.2 is a great pack, not to mention a lifetime warranty so if it breaks or get messed up its covered.

For a horizontal 4, my vote would have to be the JT Slam Pack, it works fine with 140's as well as with SpeedPods.

i've got an M-Pack from Topstitch...6 pod horizontal..it's sort of like the JT Slammer except it's got slots for 2 more pods...really comfy and a small profile...

Redz Dimension 3+2's are awesome. My bro has one and loves it. It's not horizontal, but I don't see why you would want a horiz. With vertical the pods come down so yu don't have to stick out any arms or anything when you're pulling the pods out possibly exposing yourself to the enemy.

*shrug* that's my $.02 anyway.

Unique makes nices packes. Solidly built.

Another alternative for the horizonal pack market is the Redz clone of JT's slam pack (or vice versa). The Redz version is high quality and was less expensive when I bought it.

i'm a big fan of my paintball junkies deluxe vertical pack. very comfy. reminds me of a redz pack but without the wasit belt being seperate. mine holds 2+1 which is very low profile and is more than enough paint for a 3 man game which is what we play most. when you say 4+1 you mean you are running your tank remote right? if so i would try out a redz. the price may seem high but once you have the belt you can change your setup quick and cheaper. plus the life time warranty is huge bonus.

I'm not running remote at the moment, but if I do choose to do so, then I want to have that option available.
