Possible OK/TX and Midwest-Southwest meet

OK guys here is a possibility. I beleve I can get a field in Purcell, OK about 45 minutes south of OKC to host another AO day. The fields are real nice 4 or 5 Sup Airs a hyper ball, couple other speedball fields and a bunch of woods. The meet would be in October and feature a very special guest. However the OK presence on these boards are very few so I will need alot of out of state follwing to make it worth while. I should be able to get smoking deals on air, paint, and field fees. In the past a hotel near the field has offered discounts during tournaments so that is a possibility. Please post if you would be interested in doing it and I will try to get everything started. An exact date will be decided upon hearing from the guest.

***If anyone has played the PE series this field has hosted a few of the tournaments. It is Wild West.

October 12 seems to be the tenative date as of now.

maybe if we got some SWEET deals on everything and depending on how many ppl we going...to save room, I could take like 6 ppl in my Durango. I dunno, it's a long way though, it would have to be some sweet deals....(stress on sweet)

Here are my best estimates on prices. Please do not hold me to anything. PMI premimum and big ball for ~50 a case. All day air for ~5. And most likely no field fee. Sorry no website I'll search around and see if I can find any pics of the fields.
I may be able to get JT paint for less than 50 also.

Hmmmm, shooting people from another state sure does sound like fun. I would entertain the idea. Might have to sell a mag for cheap tobuy a plane ticket. Then again could just join Daroach on the Greyhound. :D

Yup they are really nice fields. I'm the only AOer in these here parts I'm aware of but WW is my field of choice.

Alf: I'm putting Lawton-Purcell at about 50 miles. Do not look at mapquest for directions it sends you all the way back into OKC before going to Purcell bad idea.

My grandparents are in Sulphur too. Weird. The sup-air with the rocket at the 50 is fun. The 10 man field is cool as long as you ave more than 5 people on a team. Too bad you can't visit your grandparents in Oct. and make the meet.

I went up there once for thanksgiving but thats about all.
I dont know I diddnt get to play all the fields.

Good news and bad news boys and girls. The guest I am hoping for said they could probably make it October 11th or 12th. Which is a Friday and Saturday. Bad news is that is also OU-Texas weekend. If this cancels anyone plans let me know I am also going to start a probable show list. So confirm if you would like to make it and we will see the projected turn out. If you would rather do it a different weekend to avoid the game conflict post what you would rather and we will try to agree on a final date.

The meet has fallen through atleast for the weekend of Oct. 12. I have booked a hotel for OU/TX and will be in Dallas causing trouble. If any AOers want to hang out that weekend at the Cotton Bowl LMK and we can attempt to hookup. If anyone would be interested in another meet here a different weekend LMK also the 12th was the original plan because TK is going to be in town and was willing to grace us with his presence. I guess thats about it sorry for the fall through.
