BTW- make sure that you get one with a good OPTICAL zoom, not just digital zoom.

All the digital zoom in the world will not help you because it just blows up the individual pixels comprising the picture (which in fact makes it look worse). A good optical zoom (which is what you find in normal cameras) will, on the other hand, actually give you great results.

I have a Kodak Easyshare DC3800. Great camera, takes awesome photos. The only downfall is of course the low optical zoom. But, it's a really good camera for the cost... (And you can buy an adapter to add your own different lenses)

I got a kodak DX3500 for 180$ excellent camera... good pics come out with 900*600 excellent pictures come out 1800*1200. Check my site...all the pics of my gun except the top row was taken with the dx3500 on good quality 900*600. I transferred over 100 pics off it in less than 2 minutes. Most pics are about 140K but you can resize them in a graphic program or in the kodak software and they will be around 60k (depends on what size you want them).

Digital Elph. Clear as crystal 1600x1200 resolution plus the ability to palm the whole thing, giving you the ability to bring it where others might be stopped
