Can't wait to see it.

By the way. I bought a CNC machine for my woodworking business about 4 months ago and I've struggling with it ever since. Programming is a lot more difficult than I thought. And I'm only using the most basic graphics and tool paths. You must spend a lot of time in front of the computer to come up with the models and tool paths to make something like the C&C body. (tips hat to you and the C&C body)

OK, Pandora's Extreme has a rounded back to the grip frame and Manike's has the straight back. What is the rhyme or reason as to when this grip frame is used and when the straight back grip frame is used?

I don't thing you can see it, but the barrel used to be a mag barrel that was cut to be cocker threaded and you can see one of the o-rings on it still.

Thanks :)

Programming can be made easy or difficult by the software you use. Often people spend a lot on their CNC machines and then skimp on their software thinking it isn't as important, which is crazy in my opinion, it's just as important. I know companies that spent a 10th of their machine budget on their software and went bust the same year. I know some that spent the same budget on their software as their first machine... and now run 8 seats of Tebis and 10 or so machines... ;)

The best CNC machine will not live up to it's capabilities without some decent software to power it. It's like buying a corvette and then powering it with a moped engine. I forget exactly but the C&C body is something like a quarter of a million lines of CNC code, for what it is and the finish achieved that's actually remarkably little.

How I came to run the UK subsiduary of Tebis is kinda interesting. I used to work in Design and Concept in the Automotive industry and ended up developing new processes in 5 axis machining and reverse engineering and benchmarking software to find the best. That's how I came across Tebis.

I benchmarked Tebis and found it to be by far the best (by multitudes so great that people thought we rigged the results!) With tebis we could do things in a day that used to take several weeks! I can now program things in hours that used to take days. It's an expensive initial investment compared to some cheaper software but the payback is so fast it's unreal. It's like buying a C&C extreme instead of a Talon ;)

So end of sales pitch ;) but I will say if you are having that many problems programming you may want to look at the software you are using. I took two technicians from the RCA (Royal College of Art) that had never even used CAD stations and within two weeks had them making full 3d models and machining in 5 axis :)

Wow!!

I like the fact that non CAD users got up and running that quick.

I'll drop you an e-mail so we don't bore the rest of these guys with shop talk.

That's right. I've still the old grip on mine.

On the one of Manike you can see the second generation grip, which is lighter. I don't think this one as ever been available in Europe, that's one of the reason I've still the old one.

Forget about the barrel, it was just a test to check how the new lathe of AGD-E performs :)

dropkick1: Heya, Yea, that was me.. You had the black version of the Emag Micro but you were not using your battery. Hehhe.. Small world..

BTW how did you shoot? I didnt have any problems with their paint at all surprisingly(sp?). Overall I thought they could have done better with the organization but it was good with the WR turnout of 1700+ people.

magman007: It be the Nickel Plated one.. I wouldn't have minded the gold plated one. :)

betamax: i shot ok, it wasn't the best paint but it was decent, except most of the balls were dimpled but whocares it was fun getting to shoot out a lot of people. i only chopped one or two balls and thats b/c i left them in the hopper over night. i was using my battery, but on sunday the battery got real low and didn't like to fire in electro so threw it into hybrid and it worked fine, oh well maybe i'll cya at the world record game.
