Here it is, the long awaited official announcement for AO Day New England. The day will be September 28th, the location Cape Cod Paintball. We are fairly exited about holding the event there as it is considered by many to be the best Field in the region.

This will be a living announcement. As more details come in, you will find them here, so please check back.

1.) Walk on $20.00: Your own Gun (Guns subject to speed check) Field paint only on CCPB fields

2.) All Day Air Fill $10.00: Nitro or CO2

3.) Full Rental $35.00: Includes: Mask, Gun (Model 98 Tippman), 200 Rounds of paint, All day air fill (CO2),

4.) Field Paint $65.00 (per 2000 rnd case): Rental Players MUST use Field Paint

5.) Air Fills: Nitro $2.00 per Thousand (We can fill to 4500 psi)

So far we don't have any. I'll be contacting people from AGD to see if we can get someone out for the event. Then it will be truly official, even though we have nothing "official" to celebrate. If you are, or know someone who qualifies as a "special guest", please contact me.

Types of Games :

This is entirely dependent on how many people we have show up. Many options have been discussed and will continue to be discussed as the day nears. We would like to keep at least one field open for pick up games throughout the day.

When asked in this thread what would be going on at AO Day NE, Wheelman put things in perspective for us:

Paintball, lots and lots of paintball. We are most definatley gonna mix some huge amounts of fun in there and oh theres gonna be some meeting and talking too.

Hopefully we will have allot in this section by the 28th. Lets work together on this one. If you yourself can donate a prize, or have a local store that may want to donate something please contact me.

There are innumerable reasons why we need to get a handle on how many people will be there ahead of time. The Field has rentals available for any newbs you might bring ;) .

No, that is not what it means. There is a numbered line for both Rental Players and Self Owned Players. BOTH lines state the Field is FIELD PAINT ONLY.

Oh…. I believe the cases are 2000 round cases. PGOP can you verify this (I believe we already have) and is so add that with the case price?

You can tentatively add me to your list, and my Wife (but she will not be playing… maybe target shooting though).. and we may bring my Son as well, but not sure yet. You know how it is trying to be “fair” with a large family. ;)

(Note: I do find it funny that there would be an all day Air price, but then a single fill price. ;) I guess that is just for those that only want to play ONE game? ;) I think most will get all day air. :D)

The paint at CCPB is normaly 2000 rounds of Team Colors. It's been shooting very well through Dye barrels (SS, AL ect)

now for those that have never been there...

if you will be coming via 495S... it turns into rt 25 just stay on that (still a highway) and go right over the bourne bridge... after the bridge you run right into a rotary... the field entrance is about 3/4 around the rotary there is a small sign at road level.....

if coming from south of the cape and your taking rt 6... once in buzzards bay find your way onto 25 and go over the bridge and just like above just keep going round and round the rotary till ya see it =)

now i just need to decide if i'm going to drive out fri and crash at my moms camper out there and eat all the food or just drive out sat morning....

I used to take the train between Newark and Boston several years back. The main train terminal in the center of Boston is at South Station. You'd still need a car to pop out to the cape but its not far, 30 minutes maybe. But driving is Boston can be a nightmare for out-of-towners :(
Still you avoid all the traffic coming up and maybe someone local in Boston could pick you up at the station or a hotel Saturday morning.

There are no feeder stations closer? Like down here in NJ, we have Cherry Hill as a stop right outside of Philadelphia. Are there any stops on the outskirts of Boston that are closer?

495 turns into 25.... 25 dumps you onto the bourne bridge which dumps you into a rotary... basicly your there just look for a small sign at road level you'll be turnin into a dirt lot just follow it and you run into the field

for those coming toward the cape on rt6... hope when you get into buzzards bay (i think thats where 6 brings you) get onto 25s head to the cape and follw the directions from above

That was a mistake we don't plan on repeating. We haven't done any event planing yet (depends on attendance) but one of our goals is to make sure everyone has plenty of time on the field.

In fact we took lesson from that for our event here in SC.
So you gotta live and learn. We are limiting the three man to one three man field and the other four areas are going to remain open for rec play the whole day. So some good came of that all I think.

Well, like we've said before, that's the great thing about Cape Cod Paintball. We could use two speedball fields for the pick-up tourny and still have two hyperball fields, one or two tournament style spool fields as well as all the woods fields. Possibly even more Sup Air fields depending on whether they are set up.

BTW...Has anyone talked to Mike from P&L to see if he wants to be a part of this? He could probably put together something cool for an AO day if somebody talked to him.

what time is this going to start, if it's more like 11 10 i could probly make it. I live in Southern RI and it's a kida long drive that my parents wouln't be thrilled about but it's not that bad. It all dependson what time we have to leave. So if anyone has info on when this starts time wise that would help.

I believe the start time is around 10AM. Of course the doors aren't going to close so if you can only get there later then just show up when you can. I don't think you are going to be able to miss the group.

yay! i talked to my dad and it's only a 45min drive since bourne is right off the bridge, i thought it was further down the cape. So i am almost possitive i can go buti don't want to be wrong and have people positivley expecting me, so i will most likley be thier, like 93%, unless something happends. Yes, the server lost some accounts. It really messed up the database as well. After the mess-up you could not even do a search and get any of my posts made BEFORE the problem. It is strange. But oh well…. life goes on!

I'm almost positive that they do not want you filling your own tanks. On the other hand, if you keep the SCUBA in your car and are cool/low profile about it, who really needs to know.

I forget but I think air is part of the price. You can take a look closer to the front of this thread and see if Dansim said anything about it.

well i'm back from shatnerball... and still sore from it and the 15 hour drive home... but i'm still ready to go for this..... with my borg jersey and all =)

all i know is that it will be nice to get a fill over 3k and be able to shoot some paint unlike at cpx where unless i took a walk to the far end of the field i wasn't gettin anything over 1800psi..... boy my trigger finger cant wait =)

ive seen people bring there tanks but for ten bucks with all day air i dont see the point in transporting it, anyway, it looks as though kingman may flake out on us when i called in july i spoke to there tournement sponsor director and he said definatley put us down as a contributor and when i called last friday he was no longer with the company and failed to relay any info to the new guy, i filled out a tourney forum request but failed to hear back yet ill call again tommorow, oh and reffing will be by ccpb staff, ill be setting up the tourney but want to play as i havent played with my friend wheelman for over a year i think

We are going to do a 3 or 5 man (not sure which) "pick-up" tournament. That's where we put everyone who wants to play name's in a hat and just pick out teams from there. That way everyone will get mixed and there wont be a disadvantage for guys who don't have a lot of expereance.

Like I said earlier, anyone who can make it to my house can get a ride down with me unless I go down the night before. In that case they can still come down with me but will have to bring their own camping stuff.

I'm planning on doing the tourny with a "just-for-fun" attitude. If my team wins some stuff then cool but if not, at least I got to play with and against some cool people.

These are going to be random teams so I hope nobody gets too worked up. I would still play if there were no prizes.

uh, O.... well My Homecomming for HS is very early this year for school. I am not sure what the date is but it's soon. I have already asked a very cool girl as my date and i don't know what where doin that day but she's amazing and i'm very happy to be going with her. I heard today that homecomming day may be the 28th! now i'm not sure but i'm am very dispointed because i was looking foward to this very much. I can't back out on a very hot girl. I will find out more info on this, i'm very sad :( :( It's very tough though, on one hand i could be havving the time of my life playing p[aintball with some great guys. And on the other i would be watching a football game (D1,prev. state champs) going to a before party, getting trashed, going to the dance etc., going to an afte party, once again getting trashed and then who knows what all with a very cool, and hot girl.

i just found out last night that the indoor mall field near me, compresser died and the have no air =(

i just spent the last hour putiing my 2nd lvX into my old minimag valve, dug out my old griffen and took off the bottom line adapter and jerry rigger up my mini to run co2.... (before hand though i ran what air i had in 3 different tanks through getting the LvX to fire w/o leaking)... dug up my old co2 tanks (20oz w/on/off that i think may leak and my 24oz) hooked up the 24 as it was the only one with co2 fired off around 100 shots then it started leaking.... i'm hoping that is just cuase it is almost empty....

if it does leak then i may break down and use a rental for the day.... hmm... borg jersey, redz pack, morph, knee/shin padz, my revy and shooting a rental that should turn some heads =)

oh well... at leaks the got their ultimate air setup in there now... no more sliding into 55gal drums that were only marginly held together in stacks =)

oh there is nothing wrong with my retro...... its just that the indoor field i usally play at... their air compresser is down (has been for a couple of weeks)(but i haven't been there sence b4 shatnerball) and i am now just getting around to putting my other LvX into my old valve that i kept for just this reason.... ie no hpa, stuck with co2....

but i figured out what i am going to do.... i'll use my 24oz tank and put it on a remote and redz-dim pack.... i generaly dont go through more then 2 pods on a long game there and it will be sitting in on of the external flaps anyway.... that should help keep out the liquid from the valve... just been a long time since i ran a remote.... should be fun... plus i took the warp off... just for this sunday only though... it'll go back when i put it all back together... =)

i also have a tank(hpa i think could use what reg are you running(foregrip on your z mag cause i got my ir3 rigged with a proconnect, and ill just let you use th mini reg and raptor if you want(UP!) or if i use it that day i have an angel air you could use just bring some drop forward screws with you

a cry for help... does anybody have a small bore cocker barrel (to fit the newer TC) i could borrow?

if i cant get one, im stuck at 260 fps and really inconsistant. with it, its 295 fps and never moving more than 2 fps.

I'd be happy to let you play some games with my Mag (Retro mini with Warp and L10) but It's kind of a pain to take it all apart and put the Warp on your Mag. If you're looking to see how a Warp would feel on your set-up perhaps there'll be someone there with a Warp not on a gun.

Sounds like a plan Tramp. I just want to play once with a warped mag cause I'm thinking of getting one and I want to feel how it balances and all that. I'll use my nitro tank and paint so i don't waste yours. After all, paint is a VERY expensive comodity(sp?) and even I wouldn't want anyone using my paint that I paid $65 bucks for. It's perfect that your mag has a Retro cause mine does too so that will give me a better idea of how mine will work. Where should I meet you?

You'll have to use your own paint because my Revy will be on my Tribal while you use the Mag.;) Don't worry about the air, all day air is part of the entry fee.

As far as where to meet, we'll all be staging together (it is an AO meet after all :) ) I'll be wearing a green jersey that says TRAMP on the back of it.

It is me! Thanks for bringing it. :) I'm going to bring at least one if not two folding tables. I normaly stage in/near the parking lot at which ever car on my team is closest). The picnic tables generaly get filled with walk-ons/newbies :cool:
