Ok here we go from the top
Game #1..Brass Eagle All Stars
Field #1…Ball Wall
Just to give you guys some back round on this match up…in 99 World Cup,
we had our last game vs. Brass Eagle in the finals and maxed them to lock
in 1st. place for Ama.B 10man…we were the SOBs then.
This was the first game of the tourney and we always have been slow starters
in tournament play so I was tryin to keep the boys focused so we get off to a
good start…well they were focused alright!
We maxed Brass Eagle Allstars in less than 5 min. with a perfect 100 pnts.
That means we didn’t lose a plyr…the scoring went 1 pnt for each live plyr.
3pnts.for each elimination…22pnts for the first pull and 50pnts.for a hang.
Games were 10min. long with a silent 10sec.start.
7man is just like 10 man with a flag at each station.
On the break we had 4guns shooting and 3 plyrs. Goin for key spots…
Chance went to the 40yrd. Line center standup..Troy to the left 40yrd. lay down
and Chester to the right 40 laydown..we spread out the backfield after the opening
volley’s and lane shots.
Everyone had assigned lanes...bunkers and blind shots to work before moving up
the field to take more ground and we worked together to get several key eliminations.
Once we owned the 50yrd.line we were able to pinch the remaining plyrs. and methodically move up the field to close the game without losing anyone!
Game #2…Freaks of Nature
Field #2..AGD Field
This game was over in less than 1min because the Freaks didn’t take any key spots!
We had 4 guns shooting and 3 plyrs goin for key spots on the break so in the first min
We practically owned the 50yrd line.
Tracy and I toasted the only guy that broke right and when Steve got into his back right standup bunker he wrapped around and ripped 2 center back guys before getting called out on a ball break on his knee that he knelt on from when he slid into his spot…this would have been another 100pnt perfect game.
By the time I moved up from back center to the 50 Rocket next to Chester… Chance had already cleared the Snake bunker on the right tape and was cleaning up whatever plyrs Troy and Tim hadn’t eliminated yet from the left.
I never had a chance to even load a pod… I shot a hopper, moved up and it was over!
It’s getting late now so I will recap more of the games later including exactly why we didn’t do so well in the semis…
