I don't know what happened, but I think my flatline just vented all the excess air because the guy that filled it yesterday filled it to 3100psi and its a 3k tank...any ideas?

Fastforward to 5:15 this morning, sleeping...hear this noise and I think it's a jet airplane coming into crashing in my house, and I think for a second and remember it's my flatline. Now, being woken up I think it's going to explode so I run out of my room and stop in the living room and wait for the air to stop venting out of it. The whole time my mom looks at me like I just lost my mind. So, if you ever want to wake someone up real quick, the flatline makes the ultimate alarm clock.

I think I'll stick to a normal alarm clock:rolleyes:

But, that is a really cool story.

I just think it would be funny to see you come running out of your room with the tank hissing going "Arrrghh!!"

lol
:p

It shouldn't vent on something like that. I've had a fill like that once or twice. No big deal... I leaked at Skirmish last weekend b/c I broke the O-ring in the feed nipple. Might be that. But 100 psi isn't going to make it vent like that.

Yeah, I'm curious as to what is wrong with it.

Burst disc maybe? Does a flatline even have one of those?

yea im pretty sure all tanks have some sort of pressure release but if a tank says 3000 psi usually they can handle 3500 with no problems and the manufactoror is being safe because they know people will push whatever they put on the label. your tank might need to be serviced, i would take it in. there are two things i dont complain about spending money on in paintball, my tank and my googles those two things are far and away the most important things to have functioning correctly

o man thats great lol, if that happend to me ide prob pee myself b-c ive seen a 1300psi tank blow up in a test lab. (not paintballtank) and it was pretty loud but i dought it was a dick. 3k tanks usaly have a 5k burt.. and 4.5k has a 7k burst (im pretty sure) go thru the orings on the tank, look at the on off 1st

thats strange, i complain about the price on everything paintball. i use co2.

its probably just some sort of an oring burst or something, if not, maybe its under AGD warrenty?

hey that brings up a questing, Flatlines don't have stars on them do they?

Thats never good...

Snewk-If you cant figure it out, it never hurts to call AGD and maybe even send it in. HPA is not something to screw around with.

rhetor22-No Flatlines dont have stars.

It was the burst disk, took it to my buddy (who also runs a field) and he put air in it slowly and it was leaking out the burst disk. Fixed in 5 minutes.

Tom said that all Flatlines, Warps and Emags that don't have stars engraved on them have the equivalent of two stars.

man..i had a scare at one of the last tourneys i went to....i was holdint my 88/3000, told the guy doin the fill it was a 3000, and when filling he got the gauge needle into the red (past 3000)..i was like HEYYY!!!!!!!!!!....if i hadnt been looking, i might be wearing my tank by now:rolleyes: ...oh well..it only got up to 3100 after it cooled down some.....but still, this is a reminder, always make sure you TELL the person doing the fill that u have a 3k or 45 tank so they KNOW what to fill it to....i dont want to ever hear about any AO'er wearing their tanks inside themselves:D
