I have installed 2 Level 10's with no problems. But, I haven't had time to fine tune them. I gather for the instructions that you want as many spacers as possible without any air leaks. I don't recall seeing anything about fine tuning the carrier after the initial break in of the
o-ring. I'm wondering if I should run the largest carrier possible to achieve the least amount of friction?

You should run the largest "that will seal" with the least friction. And do this still after break in. Seal is more important than the friction to a little degree if you want not to be bothered with bolt stick and bolt not moving forward at all. Many times it seems the next tightest one from initial dry set up is the answer after break in. They get oily and lossen up so they do indeed now have less friction than they did during dry set up. Friction is changing. So you may then have gone to the next tighter one and still then be at the least friction you can tolerate and still work.
