/me really confused

it could be an emag with a minimag body... but for 200 bucks, i think not...

the only way it could be a lvl 9 is if it was an Mini E-mag. Either their giving a really good deal OR they have a little bit of a misconseption of what the lvl are

Never was a level 9 anything. It sounds like a standard Big Boys Toys Minimag running Co2 in the vert.

Um, I thought the E-Mag was level 9, not like it was officially called that, but it was how the logic of the name Level 10 came through:
Level 7 Classic
Level 8 RT/RTP
Level 9 Emag
Level 10 bolt kit

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe we should leave it to TK to answer.

There was no level 8 or 9 they went straight to 10.

the level 6.5 was a higher pressure mag. I think it had the snap ring retained powertube.

the level 7 is what we have all grown to know and love

From what i recall in the deep blue section. IIRC this explanation was offered by tom... course it may have been at the tech confrence as well.

The level 8 is the RT reg.

The level 9 is the X ring and shorter pin in the on/off for the e-mag.

And the level 10 is the bolt.

There appears to be a level for each serious revision of the valve.

So there was a level 8 and 9. and they were not skipped.

Though unless that person shoved an x-ring on/off into that minimag, it's NOT a level 9 minimag ;-) So... there's something funny with that ad. Either the person's lieing or they have no clue what they are talking about.

though the gun looks to be a reasonable deal so long as it has all it's stars ;-)

Nerebro, Tom said in an interview they went straight to Level 10 because htey wanted a nice round number.

I've heard the level 8 and 9 stuff too, but Tom said something directly contrary in his interview.

yeah, that's what I though until I saw the interview he did at IAO for paintballchannel where he said they jumped right to level 10. Good interview by the way, even for all the marker noise in the backgroud. I thought it funny, because the way he came across the interviewer didn't sound like he knew much about mags.

I'm pretty sure I heard this stright from toms mouth... At the chicago open house people asked bout the levels. And.. remember I'm working from memory here. the level 8 was the RT valve, and the level 9 was the emag valve. I even think I asked specifically what made the emag valve different....

This was before the level 10 was a twinkle in our eyes. This is bugging me. *shakes his head* I think the actuall quote was that "the rt and emag would have been the level 8 and 9"

It just looks like they were never specifically called the 8 and 9. *bows out*

To be honest, Ive heard both sides of it, going right to 10 because of the number and then later the RT/emag theory. I wouldent be suprised if Tom did go to 10 because it was a nice round number, and then found spots for 8 and 9 afterwards. :)

I've heard both things, just like everyone. Both the RT=8, emag = 9, LX =10 makes sense, as does RT =8, Emag on/off = 9.

When tom said it in the interview it was probably because it wasnt preaching to the AO crowd, we know what that stuff is. People would be like...silly AGD, naming a level after an On/off ASA. Its still not bettre than my kapp drop zone's asa. Or, so what if its a nice valve, my shocktech Rat was only 40 bucks, theres is 250. etc.

Also, the dude in the interview was like. so obviously, the reason for this bolt kit is to improve accuracy? and tom was like....yah....because theres no recoil...but.....The real reason is to end chops
