Let me ask you, if you hold your trigger all teh way forward with teh gun gassed up, does teh trigger rod push against it? There should be a gap between the trigger and the rod. If you pull the trigger slowley, it should fire before the trigger is all the way back.

To get it to 1.985 you need dial calipers.

where could i get my hands on a set of these?

Sears, home depot etc should have them. As long as you have those 2 gaps in your trigger though it should work.

does this sound like it could be the problem: my trigger rod was about a little less than a quarter of an inch short. Thank you for helping me out, i gotta get my tank gassed up and make sure i fixed it tommorrow.

I'm not sure what your talking about, but do you have those 2 gaps?

i don't know what you mean by 2 gaps, but i adjusted it to 1.985 with a pair of dial calpiers like you said and then i gassed it up and it worked! i think i do know which gaps, i know that when the gun is together, the rod isn't actually touching it if i'm not pulling the trigger. but, i fixed it and i'm giving you credit for telling me how to.:D

Is the 1st measurement the length of the pin? What is the 2nd measurement?

What? The whole thing should be 1.985in... And Dirtrider should go smack whoever told him to ajust it. :)

I dont know what the 2 gaps are or where they are on the gun. I asumed there are 2 measurements.

Oh I ment the trigger shouldn't be hitting the rod when it (trigger) is pulled all the way foward, and if you pull the trigger slowley, it should fire before the trigger is all the way back.
