Is a Warp Feed really worth the money?

its worth every penny! i havent had a single hopper hit since i got mine and i havent chopped a single ball since i go it either. as for shooting from both sides of the bunker, the gun can be tilted to a 45 degree angle and still fire without a missfeed. it takes i little while to gt used to but with a little practice you ill be shootin out of both side of a bunker with the same hand just by tilting the gun on its side!

I'll prolly be gettin' one after I get my Halo and LX. It seems like my hopper is a paint magnet.

The last time I played I was laying some cover fire for a friend against another friend on the other side of the field out of the bottom left corner of a bunker. After the game, my friend from the other team told me he thought it was another pumpgun across from him until he saw strings of paint coming at him. He then figured it could only be me, because nobody else was playing with a warp on the field that day.

To put things simply, a warp will allow you to play at angles you would never attempt with a gravity fed system.

I don't play any tournament style games, just woodsball. I love my warp. It cleans up my field of vision and allows my revvy to keep up with my emag on some insanely fast short strings.

if you get the warp buy an inteliframe and link it to your warpfeed with an intelifeed because it is a major pain in the arse to set the warp to feed on the vibrations of your gun and it will look oh so nice too:cool:

I'd get it before the Halo. you may find that the Halo is overkill with the warp. :D

Personally, I 'still have my old-skool pre-be 9v rev. on my warp feed and it works just dandy. strings of 15-20 shots at 9bps or so, it can keep the warp goin'.

I'd say try out the warp with your current hopper, and then upgrade if necessary

A warp will work fine with a 12v rev. I don't see the point in getting anything more than that.

hey, are you talkin about the old 9 volt 'vl 2000'? thats what i am still usin! i am suprised it has lasted this long. i got it in '92 or '93 and ive had to resolder it a couple of times, but its still spinnin away:D. thats it in my sig pic, but its not a very clear pic. i only keep that pic cause it was takin by capo;).

I would get it if I could outshoot my current hopper...or if you really cant shoot with your "off-hand" and like the idea of tilting your gun on an angle to shoot.

go to your feild and ask someone who has one if you can play a couple games. Its alota prefrence. In my opinion i like them, but they arent worth the $175 retail. Get one used for 100 or so.

but they arent worth the $175 retail.

the standard agd warp feed id available on-line for about 115$, and only works on agd guns. ptp warps are 175$ and thats because pro team products has put tegether an adapter kit that will fit most other markers out there.

I didn't mean the Halo B's, just a plain old halo. My home field sponsors our team and they can get them to us pretty cheap.

hmmm i guess this is a PTP warp

AGD (http://store.airgun.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=17&Product_ID=10&CATID=3)

you can get for cheaper like 140 but thats still a bit much when you could just adjust you postion to not get hopper hits.

hmmm i guess this is a PTP warp

agd does sell thier standard warp for 175$, thats why i didnt get mine from them(sorry tom). places like paintballgear.com have them for 140$ or so, and i believe places like modifiedpaintball.com have them for around 110$. or you could get one here for 100$ shipped.

you could just adjust you postion to not get hopper hits.

how are you gonna get the barrel out far enough to shoot without the hopper hangin out there quite a bit?

depends which side your hopper is on, then just shoot out of the oppisite side of bunkers if you really want to worry about your hopper getting hit

The warp feed does not just hind your hopper. Think about this. When you go to shoot out of the side of a bunker your gun normally has to be vertical. This means your hopper, front profile of the gun, tank, and shoulder are all exposed. The warp feed allows all that to stay behind your bunker with the exception of your barrel. Everyone always says the warpfeed only stops hopper hits, but if you use it well you can also prevent tank, drapfoward, forgrip, gun body, feed neck, and arm shots. Just keep that in mind.

Ironlance7 just wondering did you relize that no one made a post on this thread for almost 1/2 a year? Try not to responded to a thread thats over 3days old. Seeing this is your first post im not trying to be obnoxious just letting you in on some VBetiquette ;)

Yah, I realized that afterwards but thanks anyway.

If you play on the right hand side of the field, get a PF body that offsets the hopper to the left. If you go left, get one that goes to the right. I like this better then the warp for some speedball courses where there is tall cover and you don't need to crawl around much. On places that have lots of low cover I use the warp.

Anyways.. I don't think anyone cares considing this post is pre 2k3 LOL
