aight I'm havin a time trying to decide on what size tank i wanna get. I'm a front player so i need the most compact setup i can get and have a lot fire power at teh same time. as of right now I have a 68 3k flatline and basically...I run outta gas to fast so I'm movin on up to a 4.5k Dynaflow tank. But as I said I want the most compact setup I can get so I'm trying to decide between a 45ci and a 68ci. Either way I'll get more shots then my tank right now, am I correct? or will I get about the same as I would my tank with a 45ci? I'm just wondering wat you think would do me best. Thanks

when the 4500psi 72CI crossfire tank comes out, get that. Very compact(lengthwise) and high shot capacity.

I say a 45/5000. They get alot of shots and are very compact.

68/45 nice and tight...1200 shots or so

A 45 45 and a 68 3k will get close to the same amount of shots. 45 tank 45 tank = 67.50 at 3k psi. So, it actually gets less.

For all practical purposes, they're the same size.

My 68/4500 is a nice size... and yes, it shoots quite a few balls. ;)

How many balls do you shoot per game?

i go quite hevy on my trigger. I'll shoot anywhere between 200 balls and 700 a game. it gets qite expensive so sometimes I have to limit the amount I carry with me

I like 68/4500 personally.

To me, a 68/4500 with a very small drop feels very comfortable and gets plenty of shots. A 68/4500 Flatline would be perfect IMO (or do they not come with the drops?). I myself will be running a 68/4500 Crossfire with a CP Razor Drop and on/off ASA, it should shoulder quite nicely.

Go with 68ci, its just a better size and will fit better on your shoulder iwht a good sized drop.

I dunno about 3k, but I get about 1100-1300 (rough estimate) from my 68/4500.

With my 68/3K Flatline I can shoot roughly 1000 balls.

The last 20-50 shots will be weak, though, with noticeably less range and such as my pressure dips below acceptable levels.

Wow, that many? Maybe I get more than I thought, I've never emptied it and was just guessing. That's good to know though. Based on that, shouldn't a 48/4500 get approximately the same amount?

Theres numbers on volume, I never did get around to doing actual effeciency studies.

As you can see, a 45/45 holds .4 more ounces of air than a 68/3K.

I have A 68/4500 but wen that 72ci tank comes out i am getting that.

So I may be able to get closer to 1600-1800 with my 68/4.5k tank.

That sounds about right, but it varies per user.

And actually, those numbers are from when I used to use unported barrels... I havn't really noticed the real effeciency with my Freak yet, its probably lower.

Take a look at this thread. It's a handy chart for figuring this kind of stuff out...

Get the 45/45 if your field fills to high 4k fills
