OK somebody asked so I am making this post. I will list a lot of web sites where you can find out more but let me start with Kerry "Viper" Rosenberry's Introduction to scenarios from his website. Note it has been shortened.

VIPER Scenarios

Are you someone who loves paintball, but have grown bored with the same old 15 minute games? Or do you remember playing "cops-and-robbers" or "army" as a kid? Ever play "Dungeons and Dragons" or a video game and think it would be even better if you could play it LIVE? Now you can! Since their beginning over a decade ago, paintball scenario games have grown in popularity along with paintball itself.......

If you've never played a scenario game, you're missing out on a whole new "ball game"!...... Games are based on a set story line--usually either historical (such as a past military action) or fictional (such as a movie or book). Occasionally they are completely generated by the scenario director, allowing for more ceativity and imagination on the part of the players and the director.

Each team (usually 100+ players) has a base of operations consisting of a command bunker and other assorted buildings, all of which are surrounded by various trenches and bunkers. Coded missions are called in to a radio operator who then decodes it and gives it to the base commander. The base commander, having received the mission, then decides if it is feesable to undertake the mission, and if so, who he will assign the mission to. If the mission is completed points are awarded to the team. The team accomplishing the most missions (and thus aquiring the most points) wins. Eliminations have no effect on teams' scores. When a player is eliminated, he checks in at his team's "hospital" and awaits the next "insertion window" (these are every 30 minutes on the hour and the half-hour). Thus, if you are eliminated, you are only out for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Scenario games also incorporate "air strikes", "helicopter insertions", "booby traps", and an extensive intelligence network. There is plenty of room for beginner and intermediate players as well as more seasoned paintballers; snipers as well as "go- getters".
