4.5k Flatline and Centerflag 201

Ok, i am in the market for a new air system and i really think it would be a good idea to move up to an adjustable. I have heard good things about both of these, but i really don't have any experience using either of them. Can somebody list the pro's and con's of each one. Also, people with direct experience with either/both would be greatly appreciated!

Out of the two: I'd say flatline.

AGD's customer service can't be beat, and the Flatline is much lighter. The centerflag 201 is made of stainless steel. Dynaflow's are different story, i do like those.

Of course if you have the money go Flatline. They are expensive though.

both tanks will give you awesome recharge rate. Which has a better rate is unfounded. The on-off is probably the biggest difference between the dynaflow and the flatline
the dynaflow has the loud 'POP' when you turn it off and bleeds the line (great for lvl 10). The flatline has the smoothest on-off and easiest to turn.

also, the dynaflow gets pretty bad recharge once it gets lower than 1000 left in the tank, causing drop off. either tank is fine though

I was wondering the same thing a few weeks ago and decided to go with the Dynaflow for a few reasons. First off I'm getitn lvl 10 and like it that when ever you turn off the tank flow, it leeks all the gas in the line so you dont ahve to worry about a lot of pressure being left in it. second...it goes with my color combination. the pewter didn't match the black look I am goinf for, thus not going to work as well. and third....I just like it better IMO. thats just what I got to say.

Well I own the 201, and it is a really nice tank. I don't think its too heavy at all. Mine does not have an On/Off, but I dont' really miss it. I have never even seen the Flatline 4500 but I'm sure its really nice. I think you'll like either one a lot.

does the dynaflow and the centerflag have the full adjustability as the flatline??? As in all the way up to a 1000 for a retro valve????

yes, I BELIEVE (i'm not certain) that the dynaflow can be adjusted from 200 to 1100

i love my dynaflow(same insides as a 201). it can hit 1100(as high as ive pushed it) and i dont know how low it can go....the main reason i got a dyna is because i have a wholesale account with Center Flag and not AGD. also, the CF has a standard raid and i dont think that the AGD ones do. however, i have heard GREAT things about both and feel you cant go wrong with either.

so what is the difference between the dyanflow and the 201? One is made of alumunim?

the dyna flow is, and the Dyna flow has a built in dovetail adapter that will go on about any drop..

its about $20 more than a 201. the internals are the same, so parts are interchangable. it is alum either back annoed as a "DynaFlow" or pewter as a "Thunder"(battle with Diablo over those names, Dyna is not made any more--only thunder) and has a standard rail to attach it to a drop without a cradle or anything extra. i love mine. its done great for me and the on-off is even nicer

So what does a dynaflow retail at?

I have a 68/4500 Flatline. It's a very nice looking system and very light, but I'm not convinced of it's high flow rate. The on/off is easy to turn, but I'm afraid of breaking it every time I set my marker down since it's made of cheap plastic. It's strange that AGD would make such a nice system and put a cheap plastic part on it. I've been thinking about selling it and buying a dynaflow.

My Flatline on/off used to be really smooth but after getting a fill one day its now really stiff, any ideas?

according to my CF price book, the MSRP is $530 and the lowest advertised price is $397 the 201s are $500 and 375 respectively

all nums are for a 68/4500 tank
