I played a tournament yesterday and when I was taking my valve out of the body, the on/off made a little popping noise and flew right out of the valve about 5 feet. This has never happened to me before, anyone know what it is and what I can do to prevent it? I almost lost my on/off assembly in the grass.

This is pressure that is left in your valve. It means your valve is sealing so well, that it won't let air go. Make sure that you dry fire your gun, untill it won't shoot anymore, and if at all possible, take off your tank or quick disconnect to get more of the pressure out. If it still shoots out, then just make sure you know where your aiming so you don't loose it.

Make sure the air supply is off or removed and the valve is degassed by removing the bottle or by disconnecting the air line to the valve. Then hold the trigger in while removing the valve from the body. Remove the valve slowly. It should vent the air as the valve is removed.
