The patent application process is NOT FUN! He must have shaved a few years off of his life with all of those patents.

no one ripped off the powerfeed Tom invented the power feed and didnt patent it and some one else did afterwards...

dont get too upset about someone patenting the powerfeed... all that has to be done to break a patent like that is show a prior case of it used by someone else...

toms been putting powerfeeds on guns since before 91 (that patent was filed in 94) so i think that shows prior art....

The downside of that is that it costs a fair amount in legal fees to show the prior art and break the patent, AND even if you can break it, the patent is still valid from the time is was issued until it gets broken. The rightfull inventor of a product can be in violation of a patent, that shouldn't have been issued, break the patent, and still be liable for infringing on it between the time of it's issue and the time is was broken in court.
