WPF/Nelson Music City Open Results

On September 21st teams converged on Adventure Park Paintball in Chapel Hill, TN for the 19th annual Music City Open. Teams battled it out on two fields for over $15,000 in cash and prizes. Games began at 8:30 and got finished just as the sun was setting. The fields were Hyperball and Airball, and the Hyperball field had lights (which helped out in the finals). Scheduling Software was provided by Paintball Scheduling Pro.

The Facility was player friendly with plenty of room for parking and a short walk to the fields. The park also boasted two twin water slides that players were sure to enjoy if the event was earlier in the year. Airlines were kept short all day thanks to Wolf Hill Paintball and their new compressor. Fresh Anarchy Paint was provided by Nelson and was stored in a refrigerated trailer for the weekend. The paint shot consistently all weekend leaving a no wipe fill wherever it hit.

Reffing was provided by Mountain Park Paintball and Wolf Hill Paintball. For twelve hours these refs kept the games running. There were very few complaints and no real “drama” which helped to make the event go over smoothly. Wayne Alvis (the ultimate ref) was even nominated by some of the teams to get the sportsmanship award. Possibly a first in paintball history.

The Sponsors for this event were Nelson, Airgun Designs, Indian Creek Designs, Redz Gear, Custom Products, JT USA, ACI, Ricochet, Paintball Inc., AKA, Wolf Hill Paintball, midsouthpaintball.com, and paintballcyberstore.com
