I've had a sudden urge to buy a Retro valve and I see their trade-in discount. Now I'm not sure I'll trade mine in when the time comes, but I began to wonder- What does AGD do with those trade in valves? Anyone know?

That does seem wasteful. If they aren't gonna use what we give them(dont know if they could) why even make us pay more when we dont trade in our stock valve?
Seems like if there is no advantage for them when we trade, why make us? Seems like it would be the same for AGD, and better for us if they were all at the low price.

If they used them for parts or something i would understand...

To get them off the market. they are a liability if they remain in circulation and then would need warranty repairs later under the old warranty plans. That cost them money. Better to get newer ones out there to repair as they will likely have less problems. I am certain they are recycled as scrap metal.

yeah would be nice, but unlikely to happen.
I have a question somewhat related to this - I just bought a used retro valve with an (obviously) different serial number than my AIR. How do I register it with AGD?

Call AGD and register it by phone or register it online.
