View Full Version : Where is everyone staying for World Cup?

Ok everyone my wife gave me the OK to go to WC. I wanted to know where most people are staying. I am only going to be able to come for the weekend but its better than nothing. I am using a free ticket and hoping to try get a room where most people are chrashing (or find someone to let me crash in their room). :D Also we need to find a BBQ so I can make more of my famous AO burgers. ;)

When do you plan on getting in? Also if it comes down to it I may try to get a room at the hotel that JJ mentioed if nothing else works out.

I gotta do something about this by tomorrow myself. I may drag the camper down if I can find a campground close. Anyone know? If not there is that HoJo...

I get in at 9.43pm on the 19th... 20th is my Birthday :)

I'm intending to hire a convertible mustang and if necessary I will sleep in that :)

I'm gonna try that hotel tomorrow.

Hey! I been surfin the web for campgrounds. FOund this one "Cypress Cove Nudist Resort" I am definately takin the camper down now!!!

No seriously I am leaning towards taking the camper down there. I found a campground on the same darn road as the event grounds. Waiting on them to let me know if they have a spot. But many more in that area. Its like 15 more miles out on down that road on a lake to this one but hey. I can take the wife and the dog and maybe the kid and stay for like 17 bucks a day. So I think we are going that route.

Lets plan a BBQ out on the lake! I will have all my serious outdoor cooking stuff and all. It looks nice 25 acres with only 35 spots so not too crowded. Throw your folding chair in your car of course.

Most players are probably staying at the Days Inn Suites. I think for like $50 or $60 a night.

Manike you should let the birthday boy use your extreme.

I would be staying at the hotel JJ mentoined but im only going to the cup for 3 reasons.

1. Play with manikes extreme. :)
2. Meet tom, the lions

i will be staying at my house.. alot cheaper than a hotel. only 1hr away :)

I always use the WC as an excuse to have a week long birthday party :D

OK I should be booking everything Friday and will probably stay at the HOJO that JJ recommended. I also will more than likely rent a car. As said before I will only be there the 25th, 26th, and 27th. Its better than nothing.

Ok I am book into the Southport RV Park Campground and Marina with the Camper. Be there late on the 19th and leave on the 27th.

Going to see if we can get a cook out going. Its straight down the road that the event is on and then straight over the next cross roads. 15 miles from the field I think but no turns till you get to it. On the lake area out there.

Directions are: From I-4 E. 192 to Poinciana Blvd.(thats also the event field rd), S. 18 mi. to end of Poinciana, then straight, onto Southport road, its about a half mile on the right.

Hey if anyone needs a man at some point the kid is gonna be with me. He is pretty good realy. Not just saying that. On and take it easy on me as he is parent sponsored! :D
