I am in Houston and have been looking at blue skies all day.
The hurricane lost a lot of strength overnight, it was a Cat 4 storm yesterday but was a Cat 2 this morning.
That kind of storm will peel shingles off a roof and knock down tree branches, but that is about it for the wind. Flooding from rain and storm surge is still something to be worried about.

The reason the news gave for the loss of power was that Isadore went through that area about 2 weeks ago and churned up the water around the coast bringing colder water to the surface. The storm lost power by not haveing the warm gulf water to feed of anymore.

Just FYI...

HURRICANE PARTY!!!!

Nothing better then buying masses of beer before the seven-day store closes for the weather and then drinking those cases down while playing football in the eye *L* ...

I miss those days *L* ..

do any of you guys listen to art bell coast to coast? sometimes they do these things were larges groups of ppl all focus one thing, and try to change something. someone called in and sugguested we all try this to make that hurricane go away or at least weaken, and even though it wasn't done threw the hosts suguestions, i am sure alot of ppl did it and it is crazy that if so that it did weaken.

i know they did this a few times before, once to stop a phamine and it flooded in the area that needed rain badly, and once to move a needle in a lab set up in princeton, and it seems like it works.

anyway, good luck ppls.
