check the historic posts.
Edit, here we go:

There have been some posts on who did what when so I thought we would list some of the stuff we have done in the last decade.

First turbo valve still used by Sheridan in all their guns.
First clip feed 12 gram changer (6pak)
First gravity feed semi auto, (Panther)
First blow forward system.
First pressure regulator integrated into the gun.
First chamber pressure controlled by reg. (we were low pressure before anyone knew what it was.)
First Power Feed now used by EVERYONE (should have gotten a patent on that one.)
First High Pressure system (industry said no we said ok Air America picked it up and ran with it)
First used the fiberglass wrapped tanks (have the tanks with dates to prove it)
First to create full pressure recharge regulator.
First gun to exceed 25 shots per second without shootdown.
First paintball gun with a reactive trigger.
First to photographically track paintballs in breech, barrel, flight and impact.
First to graph pressures in the barrel behind the ball.
First (and only) manufacturer of plastic paintballs
First maker of a fully integrated police training semi auto pistol. (sydarm)
First to recognize that paintball gun grips point the wrong way.
First to introduce a viable, non jamming, below the gun feed system that works on all guns.

First paintball gun manufacturer to work with the US military to develop non-lethal systems that FAR
EXCEED consumer paintball performance. ( I can't talk any more about that)

Man am I on a roll, I've been in this business too long...

all of us.

sure most of us would probably still be a part of the sport if the mag was never invinted. But speaking personally, I think a big part of my game and additude comes from the people i know here and the reliablity of my marker.

or something like that

nope, vector, cocker and matrix have mechanical methods of avoiding chopping.

A more appropriate thread title would be:

"What DIDN'T Tom bring to paintball"

Could you then say that AGD produce the first MACS that does not lower ROF?

Possibly Joey, but I don't know if that would relate to the vector since it had the system from it's very first design. The Matrix system definitely lowers the rof. With a cocker if you spring it correctly and set it up right you don't necessarily lower the ROF, but to get it at it's most gentle it probably would.

In many ways the vector was a gun ahead of it's time.

i may be wrong but didn't glenn palmer invent the first gravity feed semi-auto? i believe it was called camille.

I was going to ask that very same question.

Tom? Care to shed some light on this for us?

I'll take a stab at it...

Could it be because Camille wasn't a true semi-auto, but an automated pump? In essence, the Palmer guns (as well as Autocockers, Sovereigns, and so on) could be considered a "double-action" system; one trigger pull both fires the gun and pumps it for the next shot, but the actions are still separate, and can be done separately by not pulling the trigger fully ('Cocker boys call it "short-stroking"). ;)

It's a nitpick, I know, but it's the only way I can figure for AGD to claim the first gravity-fed semi...
