The Angel field has a TON of bunkers. That Smart Parts field looks pretty rough, with that big swath of gravel right in the middle of it.

I would love to have some of those setups here... I have a big field (Not talking about my paintball field.... just an open field) that would hold them nicely. I just don't have the netting.. :(

The pmi field has like a bridge in the middle made out of like netting or something. I think it is so you cant run down the middle of the field but you can still see.
Man I wish I could be there. Its gonna take a small army to keep me away next year though. If I have to walk:p

does anyone have any info on the new jt pants? i see their 75 at pbgear and i was planning on getting some of the dyes but i just wanted to see which would be the most durable and comfortable...
I live in Orlando and just got back from the PWC and I had a blast. I was little disappointed not to see AGD showing off or selling anything. I really want to see if they will bring the Extreme Mag (X-Mag) out there. Anyone know if AGD will have a site up out there? I do know Dye is having a sale on 2003 Ultralite Autocockers for $800...hoping AGD might have some similiar sale, if they go out there.
I showed up to late to see the AGD Lions play :(

yeh, i wonder what the ruling is on that JT bunker. i would think that climbing it would consist of
"A player who climbs a tree, a bunker, a structure, or a prop will be eliminated" or "A player who deliberately alters terrain or structures, or tampers with a bunker, will be eliminated"
just my .02 on the huge JT bunker...although i KNOW someone will mount it
I was looking for a big rig or a large tent souly for AGD. Kingman, smart Parts, DYE, Brass Eagle, WDP, and WGP have huge exhibits set up selling everything that they make, I just figured AGD would have the samething. When I walked the Large tent it only seemed like small vendors selling a variety of products. I at least still have an entire week left to go back down there to check it out.

AGD was setting up in the north east corner of the main tent when i was there today :( i wanted to drool over an extreme to. o well i might go back this saturday.
that bridge looking thing is just a bunch of string type things that are hanging down.
i think the highest number for a field that i heard on the pa system was 12.
o and for any of you guys with wives/girlfriend's. beware when going down I-4 they just openened up a highend mall. macy's, bloomingdale's(sp?) etc. luckily you can see the mall after the exit... so that might be good. LOL
if you have anymore general questions i might be able to answer them(nothing like did they come out with this or that.)

Not a Timmy fan, but the milling on the new ones looks nice! Looks like nothing new Cocker wise.... Yet. My favorite pic though, has gotta be that all clear Proteus. Is it just me, or does that Proteus extend further down over the chin than the old ones? Anyway, great pics so far, I always love seeing the new stuff coming out.

Well, the new cocker is the 03' which is called the Outkast. those are the Outkast bodies but not the actual ones. the new outkasts are taking over the STO, and they have the Tickler Reg. that is the Orracle reg, and have a metal 45* frame on them standard. as well as the old STO parts.

I don't really like the new Dye jerseys. That's a let down too because I really dig all their stuff too..but these new ones look too much like the wicked impulse jerseys from last year (and I didn't like them either). Those Timmy's are cool and all but they just have too much crap on them. Whatever happened to the beauty of simple streamlining one's design? Oh yeah, it went to AGD...I forgot for a sec. Seriously though, it's like Bob Long was sitting around going "Ya know..how can I effectively make this gun look like a cross between a Han Solo blaster and an ornate mideval morning star? Too much milling and chain looking part crap. Just my humble opinion though... :p

That Python Impy is ok. I mean, they obviously put a lot of work into it. If it didnt have so much taken off the top, and no screwed up looking "N" designs all over, it would look pretty keen. I really like how the center looks. Reminds me of a Spanky Cocker.

I dunno the Python is okay. look at the IR3 they said it was ugly as hell and people still bought it. what is the Python's features? is it a norman Imp with new milling? and about the DYE shoes, are they High Tops? with lots of Ankle support? that is what i need in some shoes.

yeah, WHERE THE OSU! i am a OSU NUT! GO buckeyes! i go out there like 4 times a year, in fact, im goin this weekend. i would rock a OSU paintball jersey every freakin day. hey, i see drexel, my friends bro started the drexel aintball club back in like 94, i support them and i used to practice with them a LOT. very very good team. i hope to play for drexel or OSU some day, they are the schools i am applyin to this year
as for the python, im a front player, and im always diving and sliding into bunkers, i would want that gun with all those holes and havin the bolt exposed like that, cause i know i would crap up the gun real fast.
and those smart parts posters, suppsedly its for there new gun, called the NERVE. no sepcs as of yet

But im glad to see more colleges get into this. Now if I can only get Bradley to get a team, I maight have to go back and get more degrees :)
So far, I havent seen anythign from the cup that I want. I have my own barrel blockers made with my own logo (hard to lose). All of the guns I see are milled, nothing new yet. Jerseys are nice, but I have plenty, and dont like to advertise companies that wont give me discounts for displaying thier logo. And I like my $30 Nike shoes that I got on sale. The Extreme is about the only really new and exiting thing Ive seen lately. Actually more than just milling and color.
And if all cockers are pivot trigger, then I wont buy another. I have enough, and I only shoot a slider.
Wheres the really new exciting stuff? new mask? new loader technology? new gun technology? Pants that WONT rip the first month i use them? Pads that hold up to some serious abuse and are comfy?
Tom? ever thought of soft goods? I want a set of pads as bulletproof as a classic mag!!

i just want to see more colleges actually consider paintballing a "team sport" not a club. I belive drexel gets funding, 3000 a year. it isnt much, but i know a lot of colleges dont give anything

It's generally easier to get funding as a club, and on many cases, there isn't a difference between a club and a club sport.
It's really all about figuring out how to best utilize your school's funding process.

well, sorry guys, im gunna catch hell for this, bot the olny extremes that have come out with a good anno scheme so far that i have noticed, are Clares, Manikes, PAuls, ANd Paintchecks... the anno is lookin pretty poor....
Sorry guys, but im Dissapointed, i would have never taken those markers to the cup...
THe body heating up differently story to mee seems pretty made up... Different thicknesses? bull crap. If i can match my batterypack to my body rail in my basement, there is a problem if agd or pk cant match a breach to a body. I have no fade experience, but the thing that really matters is the dying process, and the time you leve it in the dye. For a good solid color, just let everything soak in the dye, until it cant soak up any more dye, then cure the metal, it isnt hard people!
sorry to be a downer, but this also tells me how much happier i am with my sfl.
Also, through the rumor mill i have herd that shock may not be doing more sfl's... that would be a let down. I would like to see a new mill pttern for them, yet i wouldnt. I wouldnt because that would mean that they would coppy a limited run, and that wouldnt be cool

A ha! It does appear to be a pump (Sniper esque). I know they're making custom Cockers too though.
My take on the new guns debting at the Cup (if anyone cares):
Fireball Mountain Cockers: These look promising as they have made quality products in the past. I'm not too fond of the looks, but performance could be great.
ALL WGP Cockers: This year, it's obvious that they've put great effort into improving their whole line of Cockers by leaps and bounds. The BM, 2K3, and Flatline (which I still doubt a single person has bought) are all much improved over this years models.
CCM Sniper: IMO, a pump is a pump. This is just a pretty one, and will probably be over priced.
Python Impulse: While this Imp does look good to me (the Silver one, the rest look oogly), I think the performance will only be a tad better than the Rat and Nasty, but most certainly will not warrant it's insanely high price tag (you can get an Adrenalin for less, with what will still probably be a little better performance).
Extreme E-Mags: I'm sad to say I'm a little disappointed. The bad ano jobs turn me off, and the black anodized aluminum valve looks out of place. I'm still waiting for a more comfy grip frame (only held a regular Emag, but the Extreme's only looks slightly better) to be designed. They do undoubtedly have great performance, but until some things are fixed, I'm going to hold off on buying one.
New Micro Mags: Yippee! New Micros! Not much new since current ones, but still a slight step up (I do love Micros too). I can't wait 'til they start selling the Medusa Frames.
Hybrids: By far the gun I have waited for the most. It's everything I like about Cockers, just more refined.
Omen (Evil Marker): Word is that it's electro and it's closed bolt. The past has shown that this is a winning combination. I have no doubts that this thing could have outstanding performance, I do question how high the standards of quality might be though. As far as looks go, meh (not bad, but not good).
That funky blue thingy majigger: Is it possibly the Alien marker? The new Aardvark marker? Some high end Mayhem? An electro ICE Epic? I have no clue. I'll be following this closely. Even though it's ugly, it has sure caught my interest.
Vikings and Excaliburs: Well, now the ROF cap has been raised to 27 bps on Vikings, and the ano jobs in the pics look better than the ones on Vikings that have been sold before (I've seen some horrid ano jobs come on AKA markers). My opinion, is that they're finally getting the kinks out of this masterpeice. I'm willing to bet it's popularity will just grow even more. I also like the new milling pattern (as minimal as it may be).
KAPP Matrix: From what I've heard, they've added in a few more improvements over the previous KAPP Matrices. However, I still doubt it will be worth the price tag.
DYE Cockers: Just new anos. Admittedly a better looking ano, but nothing more.
Ironmen Timmys: These look sweeeeeeet. I'm not a Timmy fan though, so I'll probably never buy one. As far as looks go though, I give it an A++. I'm willing to bet the price will be stratospheric.
Half Block Cocker: It has about all the performance benefits you could possibly want. While this will undoubtedly be a great gun, I prefer my Cockers mechanical.
Centerflag Cocker: Just another electro Cocker. Don't expect anything revolutionary. While it's definitely not a bad gun, it's not very innovative either.
Piranha: Yes, it's JABBM. However, I think PMI did a good job of atleast trying to mill the body differently than every other company in the low end market.
Eclipse Cocker: The only improvement I see over current ones, is the BM reg (which really isn't much of a difference anyway). The Aurora finish looks out of this world though.
F/X Orracle: yes, I understand that the Sleeper Cockers are not supposed to have nice ano jobs and flowing milling patterns (in order to cut down on cost). However, it almost appears as if the purposly made it as ugly as possible. Performance will most likely be like an Orracle, but all I can think of when I look at it is, YUCK!
Freeflow Cockers: The best Cockers for a few years now, and still the best IMO. The only new thing they really have out now is a milling pattern (which isn't even really that new), but that's all they do need. Freeflow Cockers IMO, are the most perfected Cockers you can buy without changing the design around a bit. They still stand head and shoulders above other true Cockers out right now.
IR3 Angels: Just some new ano patterns, but they look nice!

It's a pic thread, the thread is supposed to be loaded with pics. They aren't large pics either. I figured a thread with limited descripitions and the full size pics was more convenient for most than visiting the site and clicking on each individual link to see the pictures in there entirety.
Just because you don't have to replace the 3-way with a solenoid does not make it revolutionary. The mechanical 3-way actually limits the ROF when compared to a solenoid replacement. Besides, you still have to send it in to Centerflag to have the frame installed, it isn't exactly "drop in."
The FBM comment may have been a little off. I have heard that Spanky went under, so as far as I know FBM is producing the bodies. I could be wrong of course.
The Alien comment was a stab in the dark, as I stated, "I have no clue."

The solenoid is capable of cycling faster than mechanical 3-way. It's not incredibly noticeable unless you exceed 20 bps, but it is still faster. I also consider it superior because it is easier to time and there is no cocking rod to bend or bump. Basically, it's just slightly faster and is easier to time (not to mention it'll stay in time). The new ones one the Raceguns aren't too big at all, not big enough where I'd consider them a hassle.
An LCD screen hardly makes anything revolutionary. Wow, poop, my Cocker has an LCD screen. So?

That sorta pink colored angel is quite ugly, some may disagree but I think WDP and others are trying too hard in the milling area. I like the looks of the dragon Timmys but those ironman ones are a little over cut. Shockers will always be ugly as long as they look like a brick:D IMHO

first off, that blue thing is definately not a mayhem. I think it is very similar to the nova. reason for this is because the breech part goes waaay past the feed neck. only a boltless gun will be like this, unless the person designing it is dumb. ;-)
besides, the mayhem is about 2/3 that length.
I doubt its PGI, leon seems to be focusing on getting his e-cocker out there.

No, the frame on the Hybrids is called the Axis Hinge Frame. It's not magnetic, and is made by Powerlyte specifically for Cockers only.
I think you're thinking of the Medusa frame by PTP, which I still have not seen.

While I usually never agree with Cliffio, he is entitled to his opinion. Capo doesn't need a billion "knights in shining armor" to defend her, guys, Cliffio stated his opinion, fine, its not worth argueing about. So don't :)
On another note, Cliffio, Keely wasn't a model who got into paintball. It was the other way around, she played paintball, and was good looking, so she ended up being a model for paintball companies. Her family all plays, hence her team "The Family".

We just got back from the Cup. Man was that some intense play on those heavily bunkered fields. Some of the fields were wide open, but most of them were packed with bunkers and obstacles.
We will have a 1 hour DVD packed with on-field and off-field action, equipment reports, and lots of other cool stuff. I have 3 short clips on the web site already, so check it out.

There is no reason to add flourish to the calls except to irritate players and whittle away at one's perceived impartiality.

If i'm not mistaken, the person who designed the impulse, Aaron Stephens, the designer of the freak factory impulse for SP. He now works for PMI (aka evil, for all you that didn't know :rolleyes: ) and we can hopefully expect as good of things out of the new Omen as the Impulses he designed.

The other day in Chat, Thordic (I believe) and I were talking about chameleon paint jobs, and he said they didn’t look very good on Mags he saw. Well, after seeing the pics of one here in this thread, I have to agree with him. I am not that impressed with the red/yellow/whatever that was used in the one on this thread.
What I am thinking of doing however is a blue to purple. I think it may work much better because the colors are not so far apart.. the yellow really throws a crap wrench into it all.
However…. The Blue C&C, and Red SFL were SWEET! :D It may be lighting, but I think the red one would look even better if it was deep cherry red (almost black). But I really like the matching barrel. I would however take that SFL in a heart beat.

I was saying that the ones used on PB guns in general looks like poop.
It has to be the ugliest way to color a gun (Or tank, I've seen it on tanks too).
It doesn't look ANYTHING like the coating on cars, its a poor imitation.

I understand what you are saying. You are saying that from what you have SEEN done on paintball markers, it is a poor imitation of what is done on cars… maybe because they are not doing it the same? ;)
It would make sense to me that if you want the same look, you do the same thing. After all, cars are metal and so are paintball markers. And paint does not know if it is going on a car, a tin can, or a paintball marker. ;) So like bad powdercoating jobs, anno jobs, etc. a bad chameleon paint job would come down to the person applying the “finish”, and not so much the “finish” itself. And simply because you have not seen a good chameleon paint job on a paintball marker does not mean they can’t be done.
I have seen them done on bike helmets (both motorcycle AND petal), sporting equipment, lamps, and many other products, and it seemed to look alright to me…. IF they took their time, and chose the right colors.
But I guess it also comes down to personal preference. I don’t like the majority of splash jobs either. And I think that one of the ugliest finishes I have seen on a marker is the Aurora effect (most of the ones I have seen look like ugly oxidizing metal), but some folks love them… I am sure you can have that effect come out “nice”, but like I said, from what I have seen… ;)
So I guess we will never see you with a chameleon marker… and I will never have a splash or Aurora one. But I bet we could easily find folks that like all of them. :D

I had lots of fun at World Cup, even though I was unable to buy an C&C E-mag Extreme:D . Anyway I bought the next best thing, at least to me anyway. I bought myself a no-rise body for my E-mag, and it is so sweet!:D I can't wait to try it out later on. I spent almost $1000 at World Cup, almost bought a shocktech Matrix but the salesman was so pushy and obnoxious, I decided not to buy it out of spite. Can't wait till next year:D
