Anyone know? Theoretically could I simply screw in a 12 gram quick changer into my mag valve and have it work? I need to know because I may be involving a mag to shoot nerf darts for a senior design project.

Thanks for any help.

12 Grams carts are filled with CO2, which has a standard room-temp pressure of 800-850psi. I don't recall exactly which one. That's why most screw-in tanks have a fixed out pressure of 850.

Hope This Helps ~ Jonesie

i use the 12 grams on my mag and it works just fine. i usually get about 20 shots on one 12 gram. it works the same as if you screwed in a co2 tank.

This is correct. The 12 grams is the amount of liquid CO2 in the cartrige. At room temp (72-74F) the CO2 will try to turn into gas and exert 800psi. At a higher temp the pressure will be higher (as more liquid tries to boil off)and of course the colder it is the lowwer the pressure (down to the point where the liquid wont boil at all).
