throwing cards is a great hobby. I'm not so great at it, but a few of my friends can break skin and pop balloons with standard playing cards. I've found that Magic Cards work best for throwing.

i used to have square steel "cards" that were about 1/64" thick. stuck into drywall like nothing. :-)
