i know this has been posted, i know your gonna tell
me to do a search, and guess what... i dont care

so lets get started.

I think AGD should make A electro trigger
frame so we wouldnt have to deal with aftermarket
bull.

Plus for all of us poor people that dont want to
buy a whole nother gun just for the electronic trigger frame that would be nice

so for those who see fit and think it would
be a good product for todays market post a little
reply about howd you like it and what youd
like on it.

Thanks

Yes,If AGD would create an Electric grip frame for the Automag,if would obviously work great, since its made exclusivly for the mag.I have heard of a few problems having to do with After-Market electro frames for the mag..and I think an AGD made frame would surely cure this plague.

It all depends on how many people want it to if they will make it though:-/

they did, its called the emag conversion and it cost 500$

he doesnt want an emag..

he wants an electric frame for his mag...

hoppy..wouldnt u like a nice 1x electro trigger on your mag...(cuz i know u dont like 2x triggers:))

:D depends on price and performance... the problem is that we always want something and then no one ever buys it... what was it that time... the z grips or sumthing...

I'm with Hoppy on this one!!! Also, there are a lot of inherit problems with add-on electro frames. And since AGD is not in the habbit of producing junk or things that are not 100% reliable, they will not make it!!! That is, after all, why they decided to design the E-mag the way they did!!

Hoppys is right. the AGD conversion is the Emag kit. what does the emag have that a stock mag doesnt? an etrigger kit. (retro valve)

so, really, AGD has already done this. if you want it all in the grip, join the line, the battery AGD wanted to use wont fit there and so they made do with what they could make and it turned into one helluva marker.

what does an emag have that a stock mag doesnt? the retro valve and an e-grip. well, since AGD is all about quality, they probably only want an egrip for the retro valve because they wouldnt want one to be run on the 68 valve because it could lead to problems. so you would need a retro valve which is 200$ ontop of the cost of 200$-300$ that it would cost to make the trigger frame and all the internals. so you would have to spend the 300$ on the gun, and then 200$ on a new valve and then 300$ to make it electro, bringing the cost too 800$. hmmmm
(and i think agd doesnt offer the electro conversion kit anymore)

well, im pretty confident that the Clssic valve should work on the Emag grip, but really, the Emag is nothing more than an RT Pro with an EGrip. i mean, what else can they do to make the upgrade cheaper that the cost of it now?

AGD put the best stuff into the Emag, do you want them to sell a product that will lead to problems just to chop off a little cash?

the emag will work with the 68 valve, but you wont be able to shoot as fast.

There are too many tolerance issues with creating an electro grip for the standard Automag. As you know, Tom and AGD refuses to put ANY substandard products on the market. As far as the conversion it's $550.00 + retro last I heard. If you refuse to go with the best(AGD) and want a cheap electro grip go with the hyperframe, I've heard the y are the "more" reliable choice but they do chew up bolts pretty well. Just my .02

I have been seriously considering building a mag electro frame. I want some input then so why not post it here.

Lemme state the issues that are going to be encountered and bypassed.

1. to do solonoid of ample size to insure reliable operation, you run out of room to put the battery in the grip.

2. To get a decent number of shots to a battery with that size solonoid its not realistic to use a 9v type that everyone has fallen in love with.

3. Weight and strength are always issues...

4. keeping costs low enough to make a profit assumign not too many people buy them...

My solutions to these issues...

1. get a longer throw 6v solonoid to actuate the sear, pretty easy to get and can be had in decent numbers for a pretty good price.

2. go with an integrated foregrip design or a below the grip box to house the batteries (similar to emag, but smaller foregrip since so many dont like the emag type) use a 4 AA battery pack of NiMh (to keep the grip pretty small and the ma/h pretty decent)

3 and 4. pursue carbon fiber and plastic optoins to keep weight low and cost reasonable

anyone interested? probably be atleast 3 months till my working prototype and most likely a year (if i pursue it past the prototype) before it comes to fuition... if i never pursue it beyond prototype, anyone else can give it a shot taking these recomendations to heart.

lol booyah,
I am a little bit ahead of ya, considering a bigger power source, I am going to run a 9.6v with 8 AAA cells in a battery housing. I already motified a lot of the booyaah with better parts, hopefully i can run some tests on it tonight. though I am still using the old siliniod.

well I got it working with a huge 9.6 battery AA cells and 8 of them with 1000 amp hours, i am thinking about running my warp power off it too. I see no diming of lcd when i fire. also I have it intillied to my warp and that is working as well, i adjusted some of the internals, all I have to do now is wait for my AAA cells to come in so I can place them in the emag battery housing that I have on there. If I get bored again, I think I might get a new selinoid and get some friends to machine me a new grip, god bless living at geeky college :-) I replaced the switch on the trigger and the pull is even more amazing than it was before. Now this is what I call a real project, I will prob post my gun when I am done :-)

if you run a higher power source on the old solinoid wont you burn it out?
