Well I was just reading a Shatner book titled I'm Working on That. This book is discussing the real life technologies that correspond with Treknologies.
While talking about faster than light travel he makes this statement: "I didn't question why we weren't all splattered like paint balls around the deck of the enterprise as the G-forces reached into double digits."
Granted its not much, but I found it amusing.
Incedently the book was published in August 2002.
