i have a stock emag, and would like to someday get an extreme body because i think it looks sharp (poor man's approach to the X-mag:))

i was browsing the AGDE site and noticed the price on the bodies, minus S&H charges etc. $200-$300 US dollars? why so much? does it really cost that much to mill a hunk of aluminum? when they become available in the US, does Tom foresee a drop in prices? that price seems a little high to me.

Well... I don't know any details for sure, but the xmag bodies have the rail built into them. Thus, it's not like you're paying that much for just a body to slap on your rail. Looking at the online store, a standard powerfeed emag body is $150, then a RT Pro ULE rail is $80, so that's over $200.

And the xmag body is lighter than the combination of these two, so you're not only paying for the milling, but also the weight factor (less is more).

Maybe someone with more information can come around and shed some factual light on the subject=)
