it sounds to me like an awfuly overpriced slide check. i can get one for 30.. is that a good price?

Yeah thats a pretty good price

They are great!

Its like a quick disconnect, but shuts off the air flow when you "disconnect".

It basically has the same effect as a slidecheck + quickdisconnect on the same line but its more reliable and will last longer.

So does that mean the the remaining air in the gun stays in the gun? Or am I just not getting it? :)

it means when you disconnect the quickconnect, the air in the hose's BEFORE the quick dissconnect part will still be aired up

i think the proconnect is also built better so it will not have any problems at high pressures, where as slide checks will fail if your hpa tanks reg fails.

proconnects are rated at 3000 psi or so, I believe, whereas a standard slidecheck is only rated to 1000 or something.

I actually had a proconnect blow on me once. Might have been old, as it was on the gun when I bought it. I think I blew something inside; when I went to reconnect it, it wouldnt fit over the nipple.
