AO Machinists,

Here is the Autocad DXF file for the Slug Body. You can use it to determine the actual cuts for your custom beauty. For those who have the ablitiy to translate this into other formats please do so and post them here.

Tom, I just took 10 minutes and made a 3d model using your dimensions. Can I post it? Some people might want to load it into there CAD/CAM software to modify. If yes, you guys let me know what format you want it in (dwg, dxf, etc)

Here is a 3D model in DWG format for all those who wish to use a CAD/CAM prog to modify a true scale object. Sorry I havent had a chance to thread all the holes. Ill post a finished one once I get some more time.

http://www.cyclelandspeedway.com/classifieds/3dslugo.dwg (http://)

Below is a screen shot to give you a rough estimate of what you will get.

Ill post my own C&C design later on in the weekend or next week

I had a question on the design as well.....is the square recess around the pim to accomidate an insert to make the pim like the "squareish" ones on the classic/mini bodies?
I liked the way you designed the retention for what im guessing will be a stainless "seat" for the valve & bolt spring.

Tom,

I have tried to down load the cad file several times. And I keep get a can not open message in AutoCad. I am not sure it its just me, is there any way you could check out the file to make sure its not corrupt.

Also is anybody else having this problem?, it may jsut be me, but the 3d file down loads and works just fine .

thanks for any help.

For those who can't read .DWG files, here's a PDF (made by importing the .DWG into Cadkey): http://airsoldier.com/~haveblue/tech/automag/sluggo1.pdf

If you'd just like a 3D viewer of the body, grab this Win32 executable (tad under 2 meg): http://airsoldier.com/~haveblue/tech/automag/sluggo.exe

And for those of you with SolidWorks, here's a version of the body that I just whipped out (not perfect, but gets the job done) in 2001+ format (haven't gotten around to installing 2003 yet): http://airsoldier.com/~haveblue/tech/automag/sluggo.SLDPRT

Many thanks for the file, Tom!

HEY!! this makes things a little easier. If I am correct, this is an RT Pro body? if not, What style Mag is the "Sluggo" for?

Tom,

Any chance you can release Xmag or Emag Extreme CAD drawings? I would like to see an aluminum body design with the rail integrated into the body - less parts, less hassle.

Thanks

Anyone (HB ;) ) want to convert it into a .DXF or .IGES file for me. Iges would be nice.

I believe the Slugo body is for any style of mag. (except maybe original RT? but that might be possible also...)

Heres your dxf & igs files, let me know if they work or not. Had to fire up an old version of Mechanical Desktop up here at the office for the igs conversion.

Hey AGD

The pics look like an RTPro Setup, will the "Sluggo" body work on a standard mag as well?

Any plans of an integrated body rail in future "Sluggish" designs?

Chris

This proto body is only for RTpros and Emags. We will make ones for the other mags when we go into full production.

Tom,
Can you please convert your slug body drawing to an AutoCad 14 DWG rather than AutoCad 2000? All I have is AutoCad 14.

Thank you

Tom,

Can I buy a slug body with the ball feed 90 degrees left, hrizontal left, instead of verticle? I want a warp left configuration. If not, can I buy a slug body with no ball feed hole drilled?

Thanks

Hello, could someone please post a CAD file of the Automag rail???? .DXF or anything. Maybe just a PDF. drawing would work as long as all the measurements are correct!!!

Ok, I realize this is a little off topic, but none of the other threads about the slug have been active for a while. Anyway, im gonna do some milling, but people on here say its only for RT Pro and E-Mag, while on the site it says that it will work with any mag except the RT and the sidearm, which means it will work with the classic. Just wondering, and if it dose i will have to find a copy of the cad file for cad key. Thanks!

Hello.
Looking to buy a sluggo. No special milling required, just make it light and cool. I can buy the Angel No Rise feed on my own. And I can buy my cocker barrels on my own. The rest must be done. Good ball detent required (will be running HALO B) Let me know if anyone is making/selling one! Black is a great color.

Looks like AGD is going to be selling just what you want. The ULE sluggo is in another thread.

Does anyone have this in G-Code? I've found a shop that is willing to do some work with me on this but they want it in G-Code.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I was wondering if anyone had it in dxf format as well, I just wanted to play around with it and all of the links in this post don't work.

Thanks :)
