Idea:

on people's birthday (for the people that have joined this site) agd should send them some stickers or a hat or something in honor of their birthday i just thought it would be a cool idea cause them it could attract more people and then agd would probably sell more guns i just thought i would post this to see if anyone would liek the idea of agd doing this

That would be nearly 9000 hats or stickers. Hats being about $4-7 a piece for AGD to buy, you can see that would rack up the change pretty quick.

Let's just stay with the birthday band, and the friendly congrats of your fellow members:)

yeh, even stickers cost ~.10 each...meaning $900/year for AGD's cost, plus $.37 each to ship them bringing the cost to over $4200....

no agd shouldn't have to d anything like that. they are just great how they are now. i mean what other manufactuer has a kick butt forum like this? only better improvments that they could make would be like a super xtreme factory so they can pump out the xtremes :)

yep... if they sold them at pure profit. So if AGD is stealing the Xmags, then selling them, then they can do it.

Yes that would be cool, but not a good idea for AGD, unless they're looking to go broke.

Seriously though, I dont really think AGD has the need to attract customers that way. After all, alot of us here are here by word of mouth. We (most of us) are pretty loyal customers, and those that dont currently own a mag, and are still here, like this place because of the folks here. AGD doesnt really owe us anything. We have had the "you owe me" problem before...the internet parties sometimes get out of hand, everyone begging for stuff. Just be happy that you stumbled into something very unique here. As soon as the x-mags are released...this forum is gonna be HUGE.

stealing the X-mags has an opportunity cost because you are spending your time to do it, so it still wouldn't be a "pure profit"

and they would have to steal them from themselves, so....

I think falcon had a point. If you spent $4000 plus a year sending out around 10,000 advertisments in the longrun you would probably make your money back exponetially. Still it seems farfetched to get every members address and birthday and then send them out on time to every single member...you get the point.
