I got a brand new clear Evolution II last night and I thought I'd take a little video clip of how fast it feeds.

The video isn't compressed too well, but you can still get a good idea of just how fast this thing is! I love it.

The video? I said 287 kb up above...but i assume you're talking about the hopper itself. Amazingly, its really not that big. It looks big because of its blimpish nature, but its pretty small in comparison with other loaders i've used. I would definitely recomend this to anyone with and electro who like me, didn't really like the feel for the Warpfeed (sorry AGD!)

That would be me..
I think Im just going to xboard my revy and stick with it though, if anything it will limit the amount of paint I shoot :p

that egg is fast! it would be cool to get a egg and a halo side by side doing that just to see which is the fastest.

Moss had a halo, so I could have tested it for ya guys but he sold it :( If anyone is willing to donate a HALO B, i'd be more than happy to do a little benchmark for you guys ;)

Especially when I get my Micro-E.. I wont be able to afford anything with the amount of paint I estimate me shooting

Then again I could just put it on 3 rnd burst at 3 bps, and save money that way :D

I haven't looked too much into the Eggo II but was wondering if someone could answer this quick question I have. Is it force feed like the Halo?

the halo b is faster, from what i understand, uit has ben tested before.... byt hell, pretty soon, we are going to be able to use just loaders, and forget the markers!

Cool, I think I may look into getting an eggy II rather than a Halo B just to save some money. I didn't realize how fast they fed until i watched that video. Pretty impressive.

yeh, the Evo II is NOT as fast as the halo B, but it will keep up just as well in a game situation

Ha!! Never thought about it but he is probably right. Just remove your palm from the neck when you want the force fed hopper to fire. Might hurt getting it to stop firing, however:D

well, i'm getting one to go with my soon-to-be retro-mag(retro, inteliframe:D) and there are like 2-3 halo b's at my field weekly so i will test it against them sometime.

anyone know how the evolution stacks up to a richochet? I was just about to buy a rich until i just saw that. Sure I think the eggs are kinda ugly but WOW that was impressive.

Impressive, but it's still the ugliest thing I've ever seen. A sexy gun deserves better than that! I know the halo b is big and heavy, but at least it's balanced and attractive.

Nice field. How much bigger is it than what is shown in that picture? It kind of looks like my field.

That is a very old picture, and thats only half the field. The nice folks at Scrubadub have given us all the barrels we can haul (we've only taken 5 trips or so,) bringing back about ten 55 gallon barrels. With those, we've made a nice snake, two back 'beer-can' standups, and one strange laydown cylinder. The Quad bunker in the middle is still there. I'll try and take some pictures when this aweful weather clears up!

I'm not sure how big the field is in feet, but I timed myself running accross the whole field. It took me 17 seconds from one end to the other. Works well for 3 on 3 through 5-5 (haven't tried larger than that yet.)

Reo- That has just made up my decision on what to buy. Money isnt an issue it's just I dont like the weight of the Halo, kinda makes my gun top heavy and if i can save money then i can buy a new low rise to compensate for the egg. Thanks man!!

I'll mostly be using it on my matrix. When i walk my matrix it is very fast. During some games i would go to snapshoot, walking it, and shoot all blanks. If you watch SC ironmen they use Halo's and when they walk it and snap shoot it is very fast and you get more shots out.

I will also be using it on my Dark IR3, i'm somewhat quick on it and once in awhile can outshoot my revvy now. So either way it's an upgrade from what i have now.

Results of loading speed takin from videos
HALO B 140rnds in 4.5
EVO II 115 (only filled 8/10s the way) in 6sec
HALO B= 30bps
EVO II= 19bps
I would recomend a HALO B over an Evoultion II heres why.
HALO B is faster for strings
HALO B is wayyyy faster on bursts, 50bps fast
Better on batteries if not awsome, 20,000 off 6AA
Looks alot better
Stronger
OPP has way better service than BE

BTW the video is zipped, so you need to unzip to watch it

how many paintballs does it hold? It looks like you dumped only 100 rounds out of it.

The HALO should hold around 180ish or so I think. I dropped 140rnds out of it.

Now that you've made your arguement, I think I'll do a little talking.

The HALO B is faster, but would you really pay $50 for a loader that is:

Heavier, requires more batteries (which are more expensive) and has a complex system which is tough to clean?

I'm perfectly happy with the Evlution II simply because:

It holds more paint
Its a lot cheaper
Requires fewer batteries
Has a great spring loaded door
Sits back on my gun
Its a giant egg

Trust, me, I would take a HALO B over an Evlution any day, I just wouldn't pay 50 bucks more for an extra few BPS which I would never get to use.
