now, I have heard from butterfingers and others that a properly tuned and set up RT should not have much more than 10 fps shootup... I have also heard from several people that theirs is closer to 40-50 fps.

what's yours?

no... shoot up... the rt doesnt experience shoot down until you reach over 26bps

Wouldn't that mean that balls would be going over 300 fps after a long string? So do you have to chrono lower or what?

I have not tested my shoot-up, but it did not seem that bad to me. I know it was nothing that you could tell by just looking at it.

And for those who seem to be confused about “shoot-up” here you go:

I am sure there are more threads on AO about it, but those should help.

As for this:

This is not what you are suppose to do, sorry. The actual crono procedures for the RT are here:
http://www.airgun.com/rtchrono.shtml

If folks don’t know, it is best to not give advice or post what you “think”. I am not saying this to be rude, but because false information gets started and spread like that. And it is easy enough to actually find the correct information here on AO and on AGD’s Main Site….. all you have to do is look. ;)

I actually have tested this, to an extent.

Just walking up to the chrono and popping off one shot, waiting for a bit, popping off another, my results were...

274, 273, 274, 272

Using the proper chronoing procedure, mine simply went to 282, 282, 282, 283.

I tested this right after I put in my old superbolt I. I don't have the new LX yet, so I don't know what it'll do with that.

Not much shoot up, and it's not noticeable in a game type setting.

Good job! Thanks for posting DATA :) I've seen the same with my Retro and Emag. I personally don'y care for it - but it's the nature of the beast, and I guess it's a lot better then shoot-down ;)
