How should I go about removing the front from a boomstick to save myself some money when I have it annodized.

I was told by a reliable source to use a torch of sometime and heat the section up and unscrew the front, than when its annodized use a 24hour epoxy and screw it back on.

I talked to a guy with an oxygen torch and said it would melt the barrel and cut it off instantly. He suggested a propane torch but says I should look into it before I try anything with a 100 dollar barrel.

Thanks guys :)

The 2002 and down Boomsticks are not screwed and glued...just glued. and you will be heating the Stainless BACK section not the front. We are looking for a little expansion of the back half to release the glue bond a little.

Thanks Man

I talked to the guy that does annodizing and he said that you use propane and heat up the back section, smoke should start to come out because the glue is melting basically, and when the smoke stops I just pull it out.
