I was interested in your comments on the new model. The new trigger frame has multiple pivot points(IR3-style), is adjustible for length, tension and all that jazz. The reg is a Gladiator copy from what I'm told. What are your two cents?

I like it..

I was actually thinking about buying a nice bushmaster as a backup gun,or if its good enough, my main gun.

I own and love a bushy (don't love it as much as my mag;) ). all the functional changes sound great, but the milling looks hideous. I do like the fact that it's milled around the bolt so it shows.

id put 10 bucks on the fact that the regs will have problems

Well, I'm glad ICD is finally making some long needed changes to the stock Bushy. However, the milling looks far too ugly for me. They should have stuck with the X milling, I thought that looked great.

why are they trying to steal the timmy design with the bolt thingy and eye covers.

600 I believe direct for ICD. Less if you don't want PDS. That black bushy has a Vapor LPR mod and that part isn't stock.

I've had one for about a month now and I love it! Mine still has the 'old' LCD board (No LCD though) and will soon be getting a Chaos Chip and a Vapor Valve. The new stock HPR isn't bad at all, but I'm going to pick up the new Biatch from Crossfire when they're released around Christmas.

The adjustments on the trigger frame make a huge difference. I've gotten mine down to a mouse-click (what I was looking for in the first place) with a few small adjustments. All that's left to do is LocTite the set-screw down.

They don't look all that bad really. Not as good as the 2k2 milling but not all that bad even though it kinda reminds me of the gz milling in a way.

Ugh. Spend your money on something a bit more reliable. I've seem more friggin Bushmasters go down than any other piece of equipment on the paintball field. Besides, they feel like cheap plastic toys.

At least they're getting some decent milling done though... I mean, thats not as bad as the rest of them.

My old team mate had a 4th Gen, and it suffered from a multitude of problems... I mean it was rediculous... I thought it wasn't possible to have a different issue every weekend until I got to mess around with this thing. He sent it out to Goldie to get all the Vapor goodies and a bunch of Mac Dev stuff... and it still sucked. LPR problems, reg problems, the bolt snapped in half, the board fried, the LED blew out... and it chopped like mad...

Having owned just about every marker out there... I can honestly say that I will never EVER buy anything from ICD since I have seen firsthand what kind of stuff they make.

*** In my humble opinion, you'd be much better off spending around the same amount of cash for a nicely tuned Impulse or cocker. For $650 you can nab yourself a Nasty Impulse, that looks SO MUCH BETTER, with an Eclipse Blade frame... screw the eye if you dont shoot that fast... if you cant hit anything around 13 balls a second, then I feel bad for you in the first place! For around the same price you could probably find yourself a Matrix with a Trinity, which would elminate broken balls completely ***

Just a few thoughts! :D

Not sure how well the PDS works, but as with any anti-chop, it's a nice little insureance. Yeah there are new feed tubes for it. Bushmaster threaded. Roughneck PB makes their clamping feed neck for em. A few other places make feed tubes as well.

arent cheap plastic toys extremely light??!?! hehe

PDS is very nice for when you're running in burst or full auto (gotta love scenerio games!) It's also nice insurance to have on a daily basis. If something happens (eye gets dirty or it can't 'see' the brand of paint you're using) just turn it off.

I've seen nothing but good performance out of the bushys I've been around, and ICD's customer support is 100x better than Smart Parts.

My feed tube is from Goldie (www.vaporworks.net) and as you can see in the picture, puts the warp elbow directly on top of the gun. Can't get any lower profile unless it was a side/trapdoor feed.

I'm waivering back and forth between a warp and a halo right now. I"m sick of having to have 5 9v's to make my gun work!!!! However it does scream!!!

If you want to see an example of a cheap plastic toy, look at a timmy (same grip/reg spacing as a spyder.....hmm) As for whoever said that bushies have a multitude of problems, your teamate must have been doing something wrong. I have had a bushy for three years and the only prob i had was i pulled a wire. The 2003's look dead sexy and the black one is awesome.

OMG, the reg is just as far apart from the frame as on a Spyder! It must suck royally! I don't like Timmys myself, but that was just pathetic.

oh man, thats so nice, time to sell the mag. ne one want it?

mykroft
11-29-2002, 12:04 PM
Well, of course the Timmy has the same reg to grip spacing as a Spyder. It's build from the same extrusion as a Millenium, which is a Spyder Clone/Replacement body. The original timmy was simply the Bushmaster design modified for a Millenium body, although the two designs have progressed in different directions since then.

My team mate still loves her original Bushmaster 2000. It still has the stock regs and works fine. But that one drives her crazy,(red is her favorite colour).

Macdev does sell the Sonic bushy,
and that is a sonic ASA on that
marker. That reg is probably a
gladiator without the side milling.

The new grip frame is a huge leap
forward for the bushy, as is the
pds. I had pds put on my bushy and
then put on all the sonic mods.
It rox. The new bushy is probably a
darn good deal.

That's actually the new ASA that is ICD's own product. it's very similar to the macdev one though. The reg is their own design as well. I believe it's loosely based on the gladiator, but it's been a while since I've had a glad apart so I don't realize exactly how close they are to each other.

Either way the regs work pretty nicely and are better looking than the old ones!

I guess I only think the 2K3s only look ugly in that platinum anodizing. I actually think the black one looks great, and this one below, looks even better:
http://gallery.paintballcity.com/data/507/11343bm03l01.jpg
Notice that it's not using the newer trigger frame though. I actually kinda' liked the older ones simply for the fact that it had extra room for wrapping your middle finger around the frame.

the new thunderstruck ones are amazingly beautiful.... im not a bushie fan, my friend had an old er one, and well he did have problems with spiking etc.. HE always ahd problems with it. I will not lie.. Once he got it working tho, it was hella nice.... Then again, this is the guy that had his bolt in upside down once and didnt know it... they do the same thing as a cocker when your bolt is in upside down... any ways Overmind that is really pretty also

olny thing i hate, is they are stupid tall... and you cannot deny that... but they are nicer, lighter, skinnier than an impy IMHO...
