Hey everyone. I was just thinking of the great things at my local field and was wondering what you guys like the most about your fields.

Professionalism. I like a well run field where you don't have to wait on a field ref to come fill your tank and everything is done safely. You don't see newbie kids running around without barrel plugs and masks being removed on the field with not so much as a stiff warning. I guess I like my local field because it runs like a well-oiled machine.

My favorite thing bout my home field, Alamo Paintball. Is the owner, YEAH!! YOU KICK *SS SONNY!!!!!

The Dude is crazy, when he refs he just walks through the paint. And he loves his full body shield. A player thought he was another player, and shot him. In the middle of the game, sonny runs up and pretends to hit the guy with his shield. Hilarious!!

I also like the fields, kindness, and the Phat refs! YEAH, SONNY!!!!!

I think what makes my home field great is usually the turn out of players every week, as well as good reffing, and nice tech help if needed...but it is a bit expensive for paint...

Top Gun Paintball...Ray runs a nice operation...

Not my field but this is what makes a field great.
1. Safety. It must be taken very, very seriously.
2. Good owners that care more about the players than the profit margin.
3. Good fields.
4. Things move. I came to play not stand around and talk for 20 minutes between games while someone works on thier gun.
5. Good players. People willing to mix it up and have fun.
My field has most of these on most days.

We have a local field but it is run kind of crappy. So we play at a field only 15 minutes away from where we are that a couple of experienced paintball players constructed. It's much more fun and we won't pay for field fees because we know the guys that made it and we go out there every second weekend. They run the local paintball buisness there so there is always something to do. They bring all the paint which is also really awesome because they bring trunkfuls of paint http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif. And my friend, and all the experienced players bring out fill stations. Free air for everyone! I just have to get rid of co2 and buy a HPA tank first. http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif.

For one I like my local fields (yes more than one) because they are free to play at. I know the local store owner who runs the fields and he doesn't charge anyone to play. My personal favorite of the multiple fields that we play at is a place just off the road (we park on the side of the road). It is huge, half is woods and the other half is an open field. We play on the whole thing, woods and field. I should note that these are not official paintball fields yet. He is buying the land and is currently making one of them into a field now. Anyway that is why I like my local field.

Local fields by me don't have all of these unfourtunatley, but this is what i'd like.

1. Atleast 1 indoor field, several outdoor speedball fields, sup air field, and a woods field.

2. PROFFESIONALISM, No "Special deals" for peopel

3. *sings* "A place where everybody knows your name dum dum duuuum" It's nice when you know the rgulars and the operators and refs and stuff.

4. New field every month. My local field actually does change the arrangment of the barrels in the indoor field pretty often, atleast once a month, so oit never gets boring.

5. ENFORCED CHRONO RULES! Make sure everyone is shooting safe!

6. air conditioning

7. Big proshop.

8. Needs to have a staging area that is air conditioned and away from the fields, so you can't get hit by a stray ball.

9. BYOP http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif

Cheap paint (if you include shipping costs I can get my paint cheaper at the field)

The owner plays, and sometimes let's people borrow his guns

Good players

Several different courses, I'm not playing the same thing all day long.

I helped build the field and I don't have to pay admition fees for at least two years http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif

Good reffing, none of em are afraid to get hit.

Regualr clientel, I always know who is playing.

I love the quality of people that come out each week. all the regulars are really great people. byop is nice (and what got me going there 6 years ago). and the place has been there stinking forever. i think this year was the 11th or 12th anniversary game. which means of course a lot of people know a lot of other people in the industry. CJ from the AA was there a month ago kicking everyone's butts. the owner's son has a cocker body that i think bud orr gave him for his birthday a while ago.

between games there can sometimes be waits, but its always a challenge and always fun to play.

i love my local field because of the prices, and if you cant afford somthin they will make a deal with you...

for example..

if i traded my mag w/o flatline plus 200 i could have a bushmaster that is palmerized..

they will work somthing out with everyone!
