Red River Paintball of Clarksville, TN was host to the WPF/Nelson Masters 5 man tournament held on November 16th & 17t 2002. The event was the eighth stop of the WPF/Nelson Victory Tour 2002, a series of tournaments in which teams earn points towards the coveted “World Ace” and “Nov Ave” titles.

The Amateur, Novice, and Rookie teams in attendance enjoyed the facility, concept fields and plenty of parking provided by Red River Paintball. The spectators were allowed to observe the games via the netted sidelines. Players were able to follow the progression of the games easily due to the electronic scoreboard and programming software from Jim Qualizza of Paintball Scheduler Pro. A simple glance at the board and the viewer could see how many games remained for a team, total score, and games played.

In addition to the Race for the Ace awards teams also competed for $20,000 in cash and prizes and all placing teams received trophies and time to talk about their sponsors. Every player had an opportunity to go home with a prize due to the great "Prize throw out" sponsored by Redz Gear and Paintball Inc. Staff would stand on top of the WPF trailer and literally toss out products to the crowd.

WPF would like to thank all of the Sponsors that have contributed to the circuit. The sponsors are Nelson, Airgun Designs, Indian Creek Designs, JT USA, Ricochet, ACI AKA, Custom Products, Paintball Inc., Redz Gear, Paintball Scheduler Pro, Wolf Hill Paintball, midsouthpaintball.com, paintballcyberstore.com, and Kaos Paintball Products who provided custom flags and T-Shirts with the winner’s photos on them.

WPF would like to thank everyone who participated in the event and followed the circuit, as well as those who made it happen. Be on the lookout for next year's WPF event near you.

Thank you,
WPF Staff
