shimmed trigger??

i saw in a post someone "shimmed" there trigger. what exactly does that mean, how do you do this?

they were probably talking about a trigger in a benchmark frame. They wiggle around a real lot.

A shim in this case is just a very thing washer, probably plastic, that goes on the trigger pin between the trigger and inside sidewall of the frame.

makes it stop wigglin so much.

If its the same thing I saw it was on a microEmag. The one that had the Ss's miled off , and the switch instead of the yellow pin. Dont rember his name , but I remeber him saying he put a shom in it...

just taking a wild guess here, but do you think he could have been talking about putting an o-ring type thing in there with maybe like one magnet? People confuse the names of them alot and it would be a safe bet that he did too.

I just installed a TL trigger and was thinking of shiming it. I was going to use one of the extra shims from a lvl 10 kit that I have. But it was too tight and made the trigger stick. Anyone know of a good material to shim with? One that will get it tight without causing the trigger to loose it's free movement (I'm using only one magnet on top of an oring so it has very little resistance and it doesn't take much to keep it from returning to it's start postion)
