View Full Version : Help me resolve my Halo Color Problems

I am not sure if I like the entire halo being clear. I photoshopped a pic with what I am looking to do (hide the halo mechanism with a color or black, but leave the hopper part clear). I can do it in almost any color but I photoshopped it in Dark Smoke. I tested Lexan paint for my R/C cars bodies and it adhered very well to a pair of junk clear shells, so it should work well

Let me know if you have any other thoughts or ideas

Can you fade it from clear down to blue to match the X-mag anno?

yeah I was thinking of doing that too. To keep the internals hidden I would have to fade from inside the hopper part and solid from the point shown above down. Not a big deal to do, but I was afraid that the balls might wear it off in time. But I may just have to sacrifice a pair of shells and try it. I can always put my black ones back on. :D

Yeah if you can't do a blue fade then I'd go with a solid blue on the bottom to match the color of the body.

definatly blue on the bottom to match the gun and fade it up to clear on top. that would look so nice!

Those my shells? I like that idea...I didnt really care for the exposed looking mechanism. The sheels I have now are blue, and it looks great. Match the color to the gun!

Yea Go with the blue fade to the gun.
I'm pretty sure Halo shell's are Lexan.

Do you want to totally hide the electronics? I'm asking because you could dye every blue part inside black, and leave the entire hopper clear. That would look cool, and I have yet to see anyone do that. Then again, I also want to see someone else do it so I can decide whether I should dye it or not.

Other than that, Go fade all the way!

Oh, and can you dye lexan shells? Yet another option...

I may try to do the fade tonite if I get time.

Paintslinger, I live in Chico, CA. Its about 1.5 hours north of sacramento.

Oldsoldier, Yes these are the shells I bought from you. Thanks again, and the blue looks good on your setup.

Im not sure about dyeing the shells. I know the lexan paint I have adheres very well, so im just going to stick with that.

I love the clean/black combo in the first pic. That look sweet.

Personally, if it were me I would just buy Odysseys blue shells, then go get a blue tank cover. But that is justme and I like my stuff very color coordinated. :D
