Wouldn't you guys like a Ripper style E-mag?

I'ld buy one in a heartbeat!

My rough idea.....

loks pretty good, but why didnt you take an x-mag blank body and do it up? you may have gotten bettr looking results, altho it looks good, a little odd in some places, but if whitewolf actually did it, im sure it would look fantastic

The reason I made it with an E Mag body is because at first I was trying to make it work on a slug body. I then seen Tyson's "sleave" idea and thought maybe that would work. That way the main body tube would show through. I know the picture looks funny in some spots but it was an hour job....

NICE. I would love to see something like that.

Well all those holes through the body and the battery pack are not going to work. For one the valve/bolt will not seal and the battery inside would show.

?? yes it would, its a sleave. Its the body with something over top of it. Its like.....when you go out in the cold,....you got your long johns on, then over that you got your sweatshirt and pants.

Using a sleeve idea for the body would work, and I think that looks pretty damn cool. The battery pack would not work though, unless it was a sleeve too, and then I think it would end up being too big.

OK I see what your saying is to INSERT a sleave of some kind under that. Sure that might do it. But it wasn't so evident that you intended to do that. But I can see what you are saying now.

Phil, its just theoretical. But any way, couldn't the valve sit in a sleeve, under the milling, similar to the stock bodies now. Or just be part of the milling. (holes dont go all the way through) And then the battery would be the same. As an architect, I firmly beleive any thing is possable.

SORRY. sometimes I leave a post up too long without refreshing. By that time my reply is repetitive.

wow,I like that..

and the sleave thing would be like whats used on the bolt of a spearhead cocker...right?

just so you know bill, whitewolf doesnt do ripper milling he jujst is like a middle guy between the person and ripper themselves, you can actually just get it from the company straight away though

I believe it would work all except for the fact that it probably wouldnt work on a powerfeed body. The sleave would have to be in two pieces unless you plan on putting it on before the powerfeed is welded on.

I think the answer to that is making it vertical feed with an angel threaded feed tube. This way it can be removed so that you to make the installation easier. Just remove the feed tube, slide on the new sleave, put the vert feed back on and the sleeve is locked in place. :)

I think it would look kinda crappy as a sleeve on a normal body. Just my opinion...

However, it would look great on an Xmag.

The milling would be sorta like a Kapp Flame cocker, where the chrome part wouldn't be milled all teh way through, but it would look like an inner lining. Sorta like a spearhead cocker too.

Am I the only one who thinks it looks too much like a Dragon Timmy? If anything, it would only be worth it on an Xmag. If you put a sleeve over the Emag you'd be making a heavy marker heavier.

Fred

it looks a lot like the ripper timmy... I think its way different than the Dragons...

I dig it, I wonder if it could ever happen though?

That thing looks GREAT!! I've always like the Ripper Timmy, and that looks awsome on a Mag. Really cool idea!! Now do that to a Viking.

It looks like a Ripper Timmy because that is where I got the milling pattern. I also figured that it would work best with a vetical feed but the picture I had was PF. I would probably look better on an X Mag but then you could not mill all the way through...I like the crome showing through. Or it could be a SuperMag design...( I think that was what the alum. body upgrades were going to be called) The battery pack would have a stainless sleave as well. Yes it would add weight but if you used a ULE rail and grip it probably would even out. I am a huge fan of Ripper style milling and would put my money down now if Tom wanted to do a batch of Ripper X-Mags....if not I'll probably end up buying one of those sweet C & C's instead. :D

I would really like to see some battery pack milling on the new X Mags though!

Yeah... ripper milling would be nice but your design is kinda... ugly... sorry but I just invisioned the ripper emag as better looking. It doesn't really flow correctly

im loving the ripper milling itself, but im not liking what its on. it just doesnt look right as a "sleeve' design. if you just took the NON CnC xtreme and ripper milled that, then we'd be cookin!! definitely good work though.

Only one problem, you might want to find someone else other than White Wolf to do it. On their site they explicitly say that they will charge a $5000 programming fee to create a ripper design for any other gun. Take a look.

some people said the battery sleeve wouldnt work but if u made a little door on hinges or something with a screw it could work

magnj
01-27-2003, 09:31 PM
That looks hot but Im retty sure a programing fee of 5000 dolalrs is required for anny Ripper milling from WWA. Idont know though, Can this be done with a gluggo w/out a sleeve, that woulld make it cheaper probably.

White Wolf doesn't do the milling on the ripper stuff, he sends it out to another shop and then annodizes them. Here is the link for the shop that does the actual milling, some one might want to get in touch with them to see if it's possible on a slug body.
