Coming from a background in cars and racing, I approached the development of a paintball gun the same way. There are four factors that go into making it.
1. Performance: Speed, Accuracy, Efficiency. Thats it. If it shoots fast, straight, and can do it a lot, then thats all that matters for the performance of the gun.
2. Reliability: You cant have our car blow a cam in the fourth lap, and you certainly cant have your regulator o ring decide that the chrono station would be a good place to blow.
3. Comfort: If it drives the way you like, feels the way you want, then you're more likely to perform your best with it. That simple.
4. Appearance: Sometimes looks matter. Less in paintball than in the car industry, but still, they do matter.
Here's where I get to my point. Why is that the majority of questions I've read on these forums ask if they should get this part or that part. If you did that out here, you'd drive a honda civic with a wings west body kit, a 3 inch exaust, and about 200 horsepower, because thats what is the most popular. All of these factors are debatable. So dont ask if you should get it. Ask how it performs, or if it has a history of breaking down or malfunctioning. Thats about the end of my rant. Have a nice day.
