I know this seems like a dumb question but I want to cut down the top part of my fowerfeed body. I use a warp feed so I dont need it. has anyone done it. it seems that if you cut it so the plug fits right it should work.

Your Warp Feed should have come with an extended parabolic plug like this one here:

It might save you a little time and money. But if you are still bent on cutting it down, I would make the top half the same dimensions as the bottom, i.e. measure the distance from the bottom of the open slot in the pf to where the plug goes and reverse it for the top.

It would work, no harm done to anything but your feed tube. If you mess up, you might have a problem though. :)

When in doubt, duck. When certain, don't bother, you're already screwed.

Yes you can modify your PF to a shorter length (I have done it and love the new Balance). USE TIME AND THE RIGHT TOOLS. Remember a new body is kinda on the not so cheap side....

i'd say a pipe cutter would be the best tool. Either that or be very carefull with a hack saw.

thanks for the advice. I think I will cut it about 1/8 long then gring it down a little at a time checking with the plug along the way.

yeah that should work, just make a mark all the way around the feed tube where it needs cut, then cut like 1/16 or 1/8 of an inch away from the line, then use a realy fine file and file it down to the exact length, then use some sand paper and make sure there are no burs on the inside so you dont slice your paint.
