im gonna probably send the thing back, but heres the problem anyways. if i fire rapidly the bolt will cycle, but no air will come out. it happens with balls and dryfiring, and with co2 and nitro. its chronoed and everything. i like my rainmaker, but i only like it when its working. i just got it thursday too. can someone please help me on this, i dont wanna go through the hassle of sending it back for another possibly broken one.

this is the automags site, if you want technical info and friendly helpful people go to the RMOG rainmakers owners group they would know more unless some are registered here..... not trying to sound like a d!ck but thats where you can find helpful info

noo...this is paintball talk. not automag technical forum. anyways, i dont really know that much about rainmakers, but look at your bolt, make sure its in right. also, check your mac valve and your bolt link arm.

I have the same problem, halB. The bolt is sticking.

It shoots fine as long as I shoot slow, like under 4 BPS. When I try to shoot faster, however, the bolt sticks and only half-cycles and doesn't release air.

When I figure out why its busted, I'll let you know.

the mac valve is in the front, check any hoses or hose fittings, make sure there is no air obstruction. i dont think ur bolt link arm is hte problem.

I'm guessing its the carrier lenght.

What you need to do is take out the ram and lenghten the carrier.

There you go. Geeze people. Phil stop marker bashing ;)

if that doesn't fix it post here.(I had the same prob, and this fixed it)

In case anyone who knows about rainmakers posts here...

Now I've discovered that my ram mount is stuck in the gun. Stuck REAL bad. It won't come out no matter what I do or how hard I pull. And yes, I took the retaining screw out. :)

I'm probably going to send the gun off to MadMarty for Mods 1-5 and let him worry about getting the thing out since he needs to get it off to do the mods :) I had planned on getting them done anyway.

I got it off, I found the secret to getting the ram mount off.

You need to slide an allen wrench through the hole in the end of the ram, and turn it like you are tightening the ram. The ram mount should start to spin, grudgingly. Then you can start to pull, and it'll come out.

It seems like everything on this gun likes to bind :) I think I'm going to get some use out of my collection of greases and lubricants keeping this thing from sticking to itself.

You Won't, and they don't have a prob w/ bolt stick.

Does it need oil? I heard those things need oil like an old Ford pickup truck.

and just what are you trying to imply here?

hehe, j/k

I wouldn't go bashing the rainmaker.

cphil its sorta funny how you said $100 electro. These things were around $400 when they first came out. I've heard they're good guns when they're up and running.

I've also heard the automag chops paint, is innacurate, and is a horrible gas hog...

I think they were $499. The reason they are $99 now is because they are officially discontinued. Brass Eagle hasn't manufactured any new ones is years, but as of now they won't be making any parts for them, etc.

http://rainmaker.flipty.com is the RMOG. We have everything you need to fix your RM there. HalB, you do not need to use the weird e-mail client to get help, just to become a member. to get help post at the RMOG message board by going to the BEOG and clicking on Rainmaker(thats the RMOG message board) or going to the RMOG and click on message board.

Kevmaster if the webmaster of the BEOG, and owner of the RMOG store. I own the RMOG :)

You know, without Brass Eagle, many of todays players wouldn't have been able to get into paintball. Do their products lack the finesse of other brands? Maybe, but they're also relatively decent. Don't bash BE because it's the "cool" thing to do, because the next person to eliminate you could be using one.
