Look at the IR3... notice something odd about the trigger frame? Its not a .45!

Because .45's were meant to be held at arm's length, and people hold their guns close to their body... hold your gun as close to you as possible with the ability to still shoot fast, hand kinda crooked eh? with this that won't be as bad :)

he obviously never read the whole "z grip theory" thing. it may look very uncomfortable, but it is actually very very comfy. it prolly feels like an ir3, and ir3's feel really good imo.

From what i've read, WDP has a patent on Vertical trigger frames (as on the IR3 Angel).
I like the idea, it's actually something i've been toying with for a while... never produced anything worth-while.
will this fit into dye stickies?
I may be interested in one if that patent doesn't get in your way...

Heh, that's why he said "straight trigger frame" instead of "90 degree", because WDP has a patent on the 90, but they don't say anything about a straight trigger frame

uh the patent WONT go through.. the angle he is using is 90 degrees..
just because you WORDED it differently doens't change anything...

Sure why not? Just cant be 90. Ever seen a product thats almost exactly the same thing as another, but something is just a little bit different...?

looks cool. If you do run those in the near future I want one for a RT.

One suggestion could be to round out the bottom back corner a bit because you are gennerally holding that frame from the bottom...
The only reason I could see it being uncomfortable or at least no different would be because the trigger on the angel is so much lighter, with a hard pull it may not be as comfortable because you have to grip the frame harder to pull the trigger.
Just a few thoughts.

you guys are forgetting, on your sketch, there is no place for a trigger rod, and haven't you chot a mag with a z, its easy to get used to and not at all hard to really get on the trigger

i was thinking... maybe put the trigger on an angle like the z-grip

what about intelli-feed compatible internals?

interesting. but it doesnt seem very ergonomic. try it. plus there would be less space for your fingers unless you somehow made room for that but that would create unnecessary space. im very excited in seeing how this will turn out.

this is totally unrelated, but where can you get the PTP style warp hosing? and for how much per foot?

it looks cooler than the plain black AGD hosing

How does the trigger frame work? They have 90 deg. Impy frames now, there was a big patent issue with them too but they got it worked out.

paintballbeaver

compare trigger length/stiffness to stock frame/intelli?

btw, looks AMAZING! great work

paintballbeaver
12-20-2002, 12:39 PM
its a very smooth pull i think the intelliframes are a bit choppy in the pull but thats only my opinion

heres a finished pic w/ double ring trigger think i'll convert it to a autoamg style trigger rather then the benchmark
