i'd recommend rounding off the bottom back corner of the grip to make it more comfy

What do you think about putting a mount in the frame for the intellifeed switch? I got my Intelliframe specificly for that feature.

actually i'm planning on doing that

Then it sounds/looks cool. I'm looking forward to seeing a prototype.

I'm skeptical about it. .45's are made that way for comfort ways. This almost reminds me of an impact wrench grip, I don't know how though. Impact Wrench leads to carpal tunnel syndrome after years. if you could find a way to shape it Ir3 style w/out violating any patents, (IMO) that'd be a nifty frame.

i could make the back rounded out at the bottom but for machining purpose i prolly wont dont have a cnc sorry

got to offthebreak.com. they made a 90* trigger frame for the imp, WDP sued, and WDP lost. my friend is getting one and it looks really sweet.

I'm definately wanting to see pics of this when you get it done. I think it's a good idea. As for .45 grips being made for comfort i don't think i can agree with that one. With a tight setup it really strains my wrist to actually hold onto the grip. I think a 90* grip is a good idea. Not as extreme of an angle as a z-grip.

and theyre also designed so that your wrist is at an angle where you can actually point to the target you wish to shoot...

if you have your arm extended fully. we dont use pistols, we use paintguns, and we hold them up to our shoulder. 45 is made for handguns, and frankly i think we should just get rid of them altogether. also do whatever you want, if WDP tries to sue then ill laugh again, its amazing they sued the first time considering several handgun manufacturers have been making 90 degree angles for a long time.

Chunky lookin :D but nice, keep us posted! BTW has anyone thought of making something inbetween the Z and the 90 degree frame? Now that's something I'd buy in a heartbeat!

what machines are you using to do that?

edit: darklord, i do believe its called a y grip, or that could be the backwards grip..

Go look at a picture of an Ir3 and youll see how they make theirs. It has an arch at the back and some other stuff.

Yes, WDP did try to sue 3RP for making a 90º frame for the Impulse. They lost but for some reason 3RP changed there name to Offthebreak. If I ever get an Impulse I might pick one up for mine. *cough I'll trade my mag + $$ for your pulse IM me at EyeEightAteIs cough*

I love plugging.

Take it easy,

Nice job! You might want to put a double trigger on it though instead of the 1x...oh yeah and how do you plan on putting grips on it? Custom acrylic ones? Or Ghetto-ized .45 panels?

Why, in every thread I read about 90* frames, does someone mention the maker of a 90* frame violating WDP's patent? It's not like WDP is going to sue him for making his own frame for his own marker. If he was making them and selling them, I could see why WDP would attempt to stop that, but a single guy, making a grip for his own marker, even if it may violate something, doesn't matter to me one bit. Frankly, I will make whatever I want for my own marker, regardless if it is similar to (or bordering on copying) an existing product.

Very cool, by the way,. I would love a 90* Emag grip. Oh yea, I would definatly intellifeed it.

because americans live by litigation, didn't you know? We've bred ourselves to be inherently misinformed about the way things work and to contact a lawyer at every opportunity. It's only natural to assume people with more money than us would do the same.

I think the last thing that touched my shoulder was an m16 and those have a 45 stlye angle grip? or an mp5 stuff like that. But that frame looks cool.:D

There won’t be a patent infringement unless he try’s to market it.
