It would take more than 1,124 candy canes to equal the price tag of a new X-Mag.

It would take more than 825 fruit cakes to equal the amount of money someone could spend on paint and air in 175 days of playing paintball.

An acre of Christmas trees provides for the daily oxygen requirements of 18 people.

Due to the time zones, Santa has 31 hours to deliver presents. This means that he would have to visit 832 homes every second.

Everyone post their holiday facts too! Happy Holidays!

:D :D :D

The actual North Pole (true top of the world) is not on land at all...it is on a great sheet of ice. There isnt much land mass up there...

Here's a fact that no one knew in our family.

Christmas trees were once decorated with strings of popcorn, cranberries, and ornaments of peanutbutter and birdseed to feed our fellow woodland creatures in the winter.

There's truly only 1 fruit cake in the world,

Yes Festus33 I truly believe that there is only one fruitcake. No one can possibly like that stuff.

I like fruitcake. It was actually invented because it travels well and has vitamins, so as to prevent scurvy. Maybe thats why everyone sends it...it travels well. Not the scurvy thing.

saint Niklaus was a German (I think) saint who gave small toys to poor kids. And, the yule log was actually a pagan ritual, bringing in the new year (dec 21st actually.).

I am not sure where St. Nichlous is from but I know he is the patron saint of Saliors. That is how his legend was spread like it was.

He is also the patron saint of children.

someone not liking it would imply someone tried it, and unless there are parts of the cake missing when you get it, there must be more than one cake :D

So are many of our current Christmas rituals, such as the Christmas tree.
