Everyone,

The AGD "Clean Out the Attic Sale" has started. These are the last of the pump kits with minor defects and the pump rod missing. The site is not quite complete, you can't blow up the picture of the one kit or see the blueprint for the pump rod but we are working on that. Get 'em while they last for 35 bucks pluss shipping and handling. PLEASE NOTE these are sold AS IS NO WARRANTEE. You should just plan on using them as a collectible or cool front grip. The pump kits never worked well from day one.

Make sure you check the box on the shipping page that says "shipping address same as billing address"

Ok Tom, I went through the process twice and each time got an error message. Double checked everything including credit card info. I want one of them. For a cool fore grip for my back up only. yes it wil be the Stealth Smurf! It says it sent a message to the adminsitrator. What to do? I want it noted I was first to order but couldn't get it to go through. Please hold me one till we get it worked out!

Just because you post about it first doesn't mean you were first. Theoretically, someone else could have ordered one before you, and did not receive an error and chose not to post about it... Probably not though.

I posted in my topic too, but just so it is seen the link to the pump arm specs is not working. I would really appreciate getting a hold of them as I have access to some skilled machinists and would make several for others that ordered. The missing pump arm is the only know "flaw", right? Also will there be any documentation included?

I tried 3 times, and each time if said "Success", but I never received any kind of confirmation by e-mail. Little scared because I really just wanted one, not three! http://www.automags.org/ubb/frown.gif Is there any other way of ordering them?

And yes, I made sure that my e-mail was working and that the address I entered was correct.

I didn't check that box Tom because I wanted it shipped to my work addy. And filled all that extra stuff out for the different shipping addy. You know one different from the card holder addy. I mean if there is not a choice why is it on there? Maybe that part is what is not working.

FYI Bigzamboni my oder was placed first within a minute or so of Tom posting this notice while the first four or five posters responded so I know I was one of the first few to see it. Went all the way through the sale twice and rejected...I think. It's not clear from the Error message if it was totally rejected. Its says there was a problem and the admin will contact me about it. So not sure what that means. So I was afraid to keep doing it as I didn't want to end up with a bunch of em. Oh well...

Hi,

Muzikman. Yeah I was just going to note that myself. The newer bodies are about the width of a sear for the bolt and the reails are not even cut for the pump slot and Back Bottle adaptors. Like tom says this is good for a foregrip. For those with older bodies and rails then it might be worth converting over to a pump

For the people interested...

This is my best knowledge of the pump kit. So, If anything I say here is wrong, then please correct me.

There are a few things that your mag needs to have in order for this pump kit to work. When I got my kit, it came with a new rail. This rail has a groove that is milled in the top from the front to about halfway past the sear. The groove has a slight rise in it near the sear, which is not as deep, and it acts as a ramp. Tom did not mention if this rail comes with the kits. If it does not, then you will need to mill the groove. This groove is where your pump rod will lay.

The other thing that your mag will need to work with the pump kit is an enlarged sear slot in the main body. I do not have the dimensions of this opening, but I will measure it when I get home and post it. Older mag bodies has this larger opening. Since all my mags are 7 or 8 years old, I do not know what the opening looks like on a newer mag, but I do know it is smaller. This opening is so the pump rod has a way to slip into the body and push back the bolt.

Although I have not looked yet, I am sure the pump rod can be made out of the correct gauge piano wire. Since I bought a few of these kits, I plan on making pump rods for them. If I can successfully do this, I will make quite a few and sell them to anyone who might need them. Depending on the cost of the wire and how long it will take to make one, I think that $5 would be a good price.

If you want to look at pictures of a pump kit and some of the internals, take a look at my site. I plan on some time this week finishing this site with picture captions and an explanation of how the pump kit actually works.

As far as where you can get them good luck. I am having a friend make mine from my current pump kit (I have had one for 3 years)

But, if you can create the parts, I'll definatly buy one, if not put a 99.9% chance of me doing so on the line.
Also, to all of my friends ordering one of these, if you DO happen to market the pump rod, you can be assured they'll all have your site address!!
Post soon please!! I need to know before I order!! Thanks SO much!!

Also, as a thought, could this work (if at all) on the ReTro Valve? And, if it could, would it produce any effect, knowing that the Reactive Trigger only works for semi-fire. Forgive me if I sound stupid, I got out of the sport a year ago, and am just now making a strong re-entrance.

I have 2 of the old school pump kits all complete, I can recreate the parts. Parts that are required for a full working pumpkit are as follows:

Bolt Spacer*
Bolt Spacer Spring*
Modified Body
Modified Body Rail*
Pump with internals and rail to attatch to body rail*
Pump Rod*

*parts that are in original pump kit, I'm not sure what is included in these but I know tom said these dont come with the pump rod. You most likely can bend a hanger el cheapo style to work as the pump rod, but I'd suggest a metal dowel bent correctly. I'll see if I can make some. Also the bolt spacer is easily made from cutting a stock bolt spacer, the only problem I could see is reproducing the bolt spacer spring, which is a very strange wavy thing, and if it isn't included I dont know how to make one but I'll see if I can find something similar that will work.

Well, I plan on making the pump rods. I have not spent the time to do this yet as I am packing to move and most of my gear is getting covered in moving boxes. http://www.automags.org/ubb/smile.gif You will still need to find the correct body and rail. I bought 4 or the kits, and I just might find someone to mill me a few body rails, but I'll tell you now, if I do this, the price of he rails will be quite high.

From what I understood, you only needed the pump rod which is what's missing from the kits, or at least what I inferred. Now the body, what do you mean by that? I plan on putting the full pump-kit together, and then locating my friends new Automag PF (bought in 2000) and using that body and those internals.

What else do I need after a new 'Mag PF and the pump kit, basically?

AGD stopped making them. I'm not quite sure why? I guess it causes problems with certain peoples mags. The only things I've noticed is it cannot autotrigger, and if the pump is slightly out of position it can cause firing problems. AGD will give you the dimensions and drawings if you ask for them I believe. It consists of a special rail with a groove, a pump arm, pump arm rod, a black spacer/bumper, and this funky spring. Keep searching, someone may sell one occasionally, and then like I said before someone is trying to get a production run made at an outside shop. Good Luck!
