How often do Tanks need to be Hydro'd?

I'm looking at buying a new tank with a '00 Hydro Date on it.. How long will it last me before I have to get it tested?

Thanks!

You will either need to get it hydro'd in 2003 (if the tank is a 3 year hydro) or in 2005 (if it has a 5 year hydro) depending on the tank pressure/capacity it will be either the 3 or 5 year.

I just bought an AGD Flatline 68/3000...

I'm assuming 3 year? In which case it has a Hydro date of 9/00.. so that gives me 9 months to play with it until testing? hehe

im not sure but i think it needs to be hydrod by
september 1st not the end of the month. maybe i have mixed up but think im right either way its good to get it in earlier then that

yes, the 9/00 date is the date it becomes void...so 9/1/03 it becomes illegal to fill the tank...punishable by a $25,000 fine

OKay... Will it say anywhere on the tank if it is a 3 or 5 year Hydro? I am already assuming it is a 3 year, so thats no biggie...

And where would I go to Get it Hydro'd?

Send it back to the manufacturer? or any local places that may or may not be able to do it?

no i dont believe it says but givin that its a 00 it would be safe to assume that its probably a 3 yr
i think Luxfer and maybe one other tank manufacture is the only ppl who got the five yr.

centerflag tanks are made by carleton technologies i know there 3 yr

pmi pure energy are made by luxfer and there 5 yr

not really sure who makes the flatline bottle?

OKay... SO here's a question...

I'm trying to upgrade my Automag Classic to HPA... I just bought an ADG flatline tank, and Im assuming I can just remove my Expansion Chamber...

But what do I replace the Expansion Chamber with? Do I need anything? the tank has a Built in Regulator.. I think... here's a pic...

What all will I need?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.. and be patient with the N00bs please.. :)

well if you want a front grip on ur gun just leave it on
shouldnt hurt anything of ya dont one one just take it off
just set ur flat line to input like 800-850psi and u should be good to go

The expansion chamber you can keep on if you want since it can be used as a foregrip. Your Flatline tank can be directly connected to your automag valve using any form of tubing that you wish (steel braid, hardline, or macroline).
