Why would you buy another?

Get a V-Force Morph. Never fogs, looks better, and you can switch lenses in a minute, and that's if you're taking your time.

Spectras - LOVE the design - tried and true since 1994ish...

but they have the most RETARDED lens retention system!

I DREAD changing the lenses. I really wish someone at JT would stop setting on their thumbs and come up with a new lens system! Im not buying a proteus because its the same damn lens!!

Scott and Leader have both made it really easy and simple to take lenses out - clean them, put them back in - swap tints etc etc.

The JTs are just horribly stupid!!!

That said - take a break for an hour. Come back and use a flat head screwdriver to help you get those tabs in....

good luck!

I don't know why everyone complains about JT masks... it takes me less than a minute to get a new lens in. Its not exactly the easiest thing in the world, but its far from difficult.

You have to remember to slide the tabs in, and not try to jam them in straight, thats all. The rubber on the mask stretches, remember.

Use the JT barrel plug to help get it out. Start by inserting the nose area first, according to the directions. Please, do not use a flathead screwdriver. I did, and gouged my lense. Just read the directions.

Like stated above, do the nose first. Then move away from the nose and up to the top. They should slide in easy after the first 3-4 are in. Is this the first time you changed lenses in the mask? If it is, then that is the hardest time. It gets easier after this time.

do not use a flathead screwdriver. the metal will scratch up the lense. use a JT barrel plug.

once you get it down it isn't that hard.

get a exacto or razor or knife, and lengthen the lens retention slips on the rubber goggle frame about 1mm.....

it gets easier the more you change the lenses. my advice would be to change them during the warmest part of the day, the rubber softens and stretches. i usually start with the nose part and work my way around, the last retention to be put in is the middle top one. good luck in your tournament.

That is the whole reason I bought 6 of the Scotts Bad Boys when they where $20 each at 888paintball. Who needs to change lenses at that price? Just throw the mask away and pick up the next one. Figure I'll be running out in about 3 or 4 years.
