i recieved a dremel kit as a christmas present this year, and decided to do some custom work on my spyder E-Shutter that i won in a contest

i modified the back part of the body, along with making a nice blade trigger for it

let me know what you think of my handywork with the dremel

your trigger guard is way to big...other than that, try to smooth out some of the ripples in the trigger and you'll have a mighty spiffy spyder!

earlier in this guns life, i cut off the stock trigger guard because it was in the way when i walked the trigger, and with an old erector set piece that i bent, i fashioned a new, larger one

and i plan to do a little bit more work on the trigger to smooth it out :)

ugh! the milling is cool, but put a normal-looking trigger guard on there... IMO the cutlass-style thing kills it

Is it hard to do stuff like that? I really wanna learn how to do that but my dads pretty uh..."Not smart" when it comes to fixing things or using powertools.

And whats the average price of a dremel?

my dremel kit plus some extra bits cost me around $100... but it was a christmas present this year

it took me about 2 hours to finish the body to make it look like it is now... and you need to have a fairly steady hand... get some scrap wood and practice shaping that before you go onto the metal work

to me, the dremel is jsut like an electric saw and file... easier and faster

before i got my beloved dremel, i did all the work by hand... and damn was that hard!

yes, dremel is fun :D

i just realized that it looks kind of like a
GZ Timmy/Spyder

pretty good. although i dont think it looks like a timmy at all.

but if you wanna see a spyder that looks like a timmy, check my site for my black dragun in the pics section. :) (sorry to spam your thread)

but it is quite nice for being dremelled.

i planned to make a top-cocking bolt also... but, where did you get yours? and how much did it cost?

i got the bolt w/ my old timmy, this particular bolt costs almost 50bux. most timmy bolts cost about 40. it wouldn't be that hard to just make a verticle bolt pin to use for top cocking though.

so it fits fine and works fine without any modifications?

(i really dont want to ruin my brand new shocktech delrin quick strip bolt by trying to make it top cocking)

of course, timmys are just electropneumatic spyders, you can even turn a timmy body into a spyder blowback with little modification.

yeah, the only modding i had to do(besides the obvious milling) was to the pin of the bolt because it was too long.

just get an aluminum shaft and hack it.

very nice, you just have to fix up that trigger frame now. maybe a little purple ano to it?
